Warm greetings all. 🙏 💚
Today two Hawaiian elders led a group of people, of which my partner/girlfriend and I were a part, to multiple sacred sites for equinox ceremonial prayers, ending on the summit of Mauna Kea. Tonight we're sleeping at a camp at a much lower elevation, almost exactly between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, and near the exact center of the Big Island. I took many, many photos, but at this moment I am far too exhausted to write up much (I'll make a more in depth post soon, maybe tomorrow), but I did want to get in my entry for the Reflection Hunters Contest: Round 57.
I've been looking for interesting reflections all day, and it was only at the end of the day, near sunset, up on the top of Mauna Kea, that one appeared. The setting sun cast quite a notable reflection on one of the telescopes. I didn't think about using it here until I was looking through my copious photos afterwards. I hope y'all enjoy it! 🙏 💚
