Al subirte en ella, sentirás a plenitud cada emoción. Vivirás saltando de un extremo a otro y por más que intentes acercarte al equilibrio jamás lo lograrás. Muchos espectadores han contemplado la vida de quienes viven en ella y sus impresiones han dejado impactados a quienes han escuchado las escalofriantes descripciones que narran. Te lleva a la cima y luego con toda su fuerza te lanza al vacío. Los que se han subido, no lo han hecho por voluntad propia, sino que han sido víctimas de terribles desequilibrios químicos que se han desencadeno en sus mentes sin permiso alguno.

Como me encantaría que Mariana permaneciera así por mucho tiempo-afirma Miguel- porque sufro mucho cuando veo que su felicidad de manera abrupta se torna en tristeza. En un momento ella está en la cúspide del Everest y luego en caída libre llega al núcleo del planeta. I would love Mariana to stay like this for a long time," says Miguel, "because I suffer a lot when I see her happiness abruptly turn into sadness. One moment she is at the top of Everest and then in free fall she reaches the core of the planet. I watch helplessly as she struggles to evade memories that plunge her into the darkness that resides in the depths of the ocean.
Mariana pelea intensamente para salir de allí y al emerger queda sin energías. Comienza a sentir irritabilidad excesiva, anhela el sonido del silencio y lucha contra la amargura que se adueña de ella. Poco a poco retoma el control, se repone y continúa con su vida, sabiendo que en cualquier momento y a pesar de tomar sus medicamentos volverá a ese terrible ciclo que la hace infeliz tanto a ella como a mí, que soy su hermano mayor.
Mariana fights intensely to get out of there and when she emerges she is left without energy. She begins to feel excessive irritability, longs for the sound of silence and fights against the bitterness that takes possession of her. Little by little she regains control, pulls herself together and continues with her life, knowing that at any moment and in spite of taking her medication, she will return to that terrible cycle that makes her and me, her older brother, unhappy.
Desde el día que Mariana fue diagnosticada con bipolaridad, jamás la he dejado sola. Rio y lloro junto a ella. Cada vez que le toca su consulta psiquiátrica la acompaño y en la sala de espera me percato de que son muchos los que viven en el mundo de los extremos, así que cada vez que podamos, tendámosle la mano, quizás los ayudemos a pasar por alto una oscura estación.
Since the day Mariana was diagnosed with bipolar, I have never left her alone. I laugh and cry with her. Every time she has her psychiatric consultation I accompany her and in the waiting room I realize that there are many who live in the world of extremes, so every time we can, let's reach out to them, maybe we can help them overlook a dark season.
