the ears beat like swords

with eyes of blue lights

Maullaba en el tejado
una noche clara de luna
un horizonte de espesura
batían como espadas las espigas
empujadas por el viento...
Maullaba el felino azabache
con ojos de luceros azules
le hablaba a la luna
su presencia inevitable
al fragor de los grillos...
Maullaba, sólo maullaba
la triste partida de un adiós
de aquella blanca bruma
de ojos verdes mar
que hasta ayer, maullaron juntos
su canto de amor a la noche
mientras la luna con su brillo
los convirtió en luceros...
Solo un lucero maullaba en el tejado
porque el otro
partió al firmamento
a maullarle al gato azabache...
Maullaban los dos...
