Un poema es un pájaro
que no elije dónde posarse,
aprieta sus alas contra las costillas,
deja en la boca
el sabor exacto
de lo que no se dijo a tiempo;
es una garganta con alas rotas,
silencio
con el mismo olor
de tus senos en la última noche;
animal que habita el aire,
raíces enroscadas como vísceras
pudriéndome a picotazos
el vértigo de estar vivo
para exponer la ilusión del desamparo
en la constancia de quien sobrevive,
dudas,
pretexto de la caricia,
golpe de lo irreal,
lo inerte en el vuelo de plumas;
color de gorriones
en la resignación
del abrazo de quien te ilusiona,
pausas.

A poem is a bird
that doesn't choose where to perch,
presses its wings against its ribs,
leaves in the mouth
the exact taste
of what wasn't said in time;
it's a throat with broken wings,
silence
with the same scent
of your breasts on the last night;
an animal that inhabits the air,
roots coiled like viscera
rotting me with pecks
the vertigo of being alive
to expose the illusion of helplessness
in the constancy of the one who survives,
doubts,
pretext of the caress,
blow of the unreal,
the inert in the flight of feathers;
the color of sparrows
in the resignation
of the embrace of the one who fills you with illusion,
pauses.
