El tiempo de pascua
nos torna sensibles,
temiendo la ausencia
de amores tangibles.
Hurgamos el mundo,
rastreamos el cielo
tanteando respuestas
para nuestro anhelo.
El brillo que buscas,
que es como la estrella,
se esconde en el alma,
¡la gema más bella!
¡Abre el corazón
con sinceridad
y abraza el milagro
de la Navidad!
Christmas Carol of Doubt
The time of Easter
makes us sensitive,
fearing the absence
of tangible loves.
We rummage through the world,
we trace the sky
groping for answers
to our yearning.
The shine you seek,
which is like the star,
hides in the soul,
the most beautiful gem!
Open your heart
with sincerity
and embrace the miracle
of Christmas!
Tenía tiempo sin publicar en esta, mi querida comunidad de Literatos. Pero el tema del concurso que recientemente se propuso (Ver acá la convocatoria), era absolutamente obligado para mí, pues me apasionan tanto las navidades, como la poesía de versos cortos, como en el caso de los villancicos o aguinaldos.
Así que acá les presento mi poema que, como es usual, no opta a los premios, sino que es mi manera de llegar a ustedes para invitarlos a participar en esta actividad.

I hadn't posted in this, my dear community of Literatos, for a while. But the theme of the contest that was recently proposed (See the call here) was absolutely necessary for me, as I am passionate about both Christmas and short verse poetry, such as in the case of carols or aguinaldos.
So here I present my poem, which, as usual, does not compete for prizes, but is my way of reaching out to you to invite you to participate in this activity.
Take advantage of the fact that there is still time and write your poem and participate! (In Spanish, of course! Sorry!)
