There is a lot of criticism about Doge lately.
I can't say that they are not valid critiques either. It doesn't seem to be many developers actively working on it. Considering all the recent excitement around it, what is being done to improve the actual coin itself?

I will just be honest, I had this stuck in my head the last 20 minutes and I had to create this and ask the community. Although its silly, I wonder if there is anything we can do to IMPROVE Doge. Surely there is financial incentive to do so...
Ethereum is adding as many patches as they can right now. Is Doge worth upgrading, since it represents 2% of all crypto market cap today? Why not DogeNero?
This is just an idea I had, and I wanted to share. I don't have a lot of time, I need to go now. However I leave you this meme to ponder on. Is it worth improving Doge? Is Monero even a candidate for this kind of patch?
What would that look like? Are there any runner up protocols that might be better suited? Rather than forking DogeCoin or creating a new Doge-based coin (like so many), can it be upgraded it with better technology?
