Hello friends,
Welcome to our Tuesday’s art. I encourage you to join it to share your ideas or art process.
Best three posts will get a small reward from me.
First place will get 5 hives
Second place - 3 hives
Third place - 2 hive
I’ll be using my own hive to reward for right now. Hopefully together we can grow a great and friendly community where people can teach and learn art.
Upvotes and reposts are appreciated and used for the future rewards. Make sure to put a hashtag #artteachers and leave a link to your post in the comments.
The timeframe is one week from Tuesday to Monday, and next Tuesday the challenge will start over.
Ok, now let me share my morning watercolor sketch.
Materials
Any waterbased markers (I used twin markers from Arteza)
Watercolor paper
Small-Medium round brush
Water
Paper towel or napkin
I already had my pencil sketch prepared here. It’s a super easy drawing, and I mainly was concentrating here on the coloring part.
- First I traced my sketch with a black liner, and started to trace the starfish with a ruby redarker.
- Then I apply water to the starfish beginning from the center. After that I just spread the ink, that’s already there from the edges to the center, it should spread easily since the paper is wet.
- Here I trace the starfish again with ruby red and spread the ink to the center again, because I want the color to be intense.
- Next step is the sand surface. I wet the area with clean water and then get the marker in on my palette and from there pick it with the brush. Basically it’s like working with watercolors. Why I like this method even if it seems to complicated, is that colors are clean, no grains of paint, perfect for light sketching.
- Next step was coloring the smaller shells.
- At the end when the sketch is all dry, I did some dots with the black liner, to add some texture.
That’s it, small and simple sketch as a morning exercise is done, and I feel happy about the result.
I hope you enjoyed the art process .
