"When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die." - Cersei Lannister
Hello everyone! I am back with another review. I am doing good, I hope you all are fine. Today, I am going to review one of the longest books that I have ever read in my entire life. I have read so many books in my life, but this one is one of the longest; no, actually, it is the longest book that I have ever read in my life.
So, you must have heard about the Game of Thrones series. I have watched it, and believe it or not, it is the greatest series I have ever seen, and this is what made me read this book. A friend of mine gave me this novel in 2017, and I am not going to boast about it, but it took me almost three to four years to complete this book.
I completed it in almost 2020 or 2021, because it was not possible for me to complete it in a short period, owing to the complexity and depth and length of this book. This book is an absolute masterpiece because it transports the readers to the unforgiving realms. You must have seen the series in which the Westeros Kingdom and other seven kingdoms are fighting for the kingdom and power and survival.
You can find all these elements in this book as well; this book is exciting and intriguing, just like the series itself.
If you ask me about my personal favourite characters, there are a number of them. Personally, I would like to show my appreciation about the depiction of Tyrion Lannister.
The depiction and description of Tyrion Lannister in this book is absolutely amazing. The way Peter Dinklage has portrayed the character of Tyrion Lannister in the series is an absolute masterpiece, but the way it is described in this book, the way it behaves, or the aura of the character itself in this book is also a fine masterpiece.
Which is why I loved the character of Tyrion Lannister in the book and in the series as well. Other than Tyrion Lannister, I also loved Ned Stark. The way he carries bravery, honesty, and integrity are something to be very inspiring for me, and I have always tried to gain something from such books, from such characters.
If I am asked to gain something, to occupy something, to learn something from this book, I would surely try to implement the integrity, bravery, and honesty of Ned Stark. Other characters are also influential and have very inspiring stories as well, like Jon Snow and other characters, but these two characters are my absolute favourites.
So, if you are a fan of fantasy, if you like world-building and rich storytelling, this book is absolutely for you. And if you are going to read this book, be prepared to invest time and attention, because this is not for the faint of heart people.
It will require you to be brave. I would give this series a ten out of ten, including the book. Thank you so much, my friends. I will look forward to your comments, and I will also be happy to engage with you in the comments about this book and other books as well.
