Whenever there are free books there I will be there.
I've been passing by the same place over and over again for months since it's in front of my home, but as I always say "we ignore what we don't care about ", well in this case, it's a store called Levadura Madre as its name says: it's a bakery that has in a peculiar way a little table right next to the entrance door with a basket and a small sign that indicates that there is a BOOKCROSSING activity.
This means that, not that the book is free, but that you have to leave one when you pick up another so that another reader can do the same activity and the chain doesn't break. I thought this book exchange idea was great so I took the last book I had read and exchanged it for another one from the basket to start a new reading. There were about 10 books more or less and this time I decided for AMIRA, from what I quickly read it is about women's rights in the Islamic world. An interesting topic.
What do you think about Bookcrossing? would you practice this activity?
