Hello my dear friends,
I hope you are all doing well and are doing something new and good in your lives. I am also doing well. I am trying to learn something new every moment. Friends, the last month of the year is going on, and in a few days, we will all enter the new year. But what will remain are the memories of the past year. What I did, what I learned, where I traveled. And what is most important to me is which books I spent my precious time with last year. Which books did I get lost in while reading? All the books I spent time with this year were excellent. But some books leave a deep impact on your heart and mind. After reading those books, you are not the same person you were before reading them. One such book is a Hindi novel that I read this year, titled 'Gunahon Ka Devta' (The God of Sins). This book was written by the renowned Hindi author Dharamvir Bharati.
The main characters of the story are Sudha and Chandar. And the supporting characters are Binti and Pammi.
The special thing about the book that makes every reader emotional is that Chandar loves Sudha selflessly. But burdened by the favors of Sudha's father, Chandar never gathers the courage to tell her about his love.
Sudha, too, considers Chandar like a god. She obeys Chandar in everything. Therefore, at Chandar's insistence, she marries someone else. Sudha gets married, but without Chandar, Sudha's life becomes like a fish without water, a flower without fragrance. Sudha's life withers, and this character in the story meets a tragic end.
"The snake of ashes, floating in the waves of the Ganges, had broken apart and scattered, and the river flowed again as if nothing had ever happened." With these final lines of the book, the story comes to a tragic end.
