Her story begins with Mia who is the main protagonist, her dream has always been to become an amazing cellist. On the other hand, she has a beautiful family on her side; her parents, younger brother, and a cute and loving boyfriend who always supports her. One day, Mia and her parents and brother decide to take a trip in winter, everything was looking very peaceful, however, no one expected that this family outing would turn into a tragic nightmare for Mia, losing everything, everything she loved most in her life; her family.
This part of the book, was too unexpected for me, I just wanted to continue reading and not take my eyes off it. Continuing the review, Mia becomes totally unconscious but her soul leaves her body and she visualizes her family and herself lying on the floor, I really didn't understand what was happening. As the reading progressed, memories of Mia's past presented themselves and at the same time she returned to reality. There came a moment when the protagonist had to make the hardest decision; whether to continue with the only thing she had left, her boyfriend, or go to her family, that's when I understood the reason for the title of the book. I really, really cried when I read those lines.
Su historia comienza con Mía quien es la protagonista principal, su sueño siempre ha sido convertirse en una increíble violonchelista. Por otro parte, tiene de su lado a una hermosa familia; sus padres, hermano menor, y un lindo y amoroso novio que siempre la apoya. Un día, Mía junto a sus padres y hermano deciden realizar un viaje en invierno, todo se visualizaba muy tranquilo, sin embargo, nadie esperaba que dicha salida familiar se convertiría en un trágica pesadilla para Mía, al perder todo, a todo lo que más amaba en su vida; su familia.
Esta parte del libro, fue demasiado inesperada para mí, solo quería continuar leyendo y no despegar mi mirada. Continuando la reseña, Mía queda totalmente inconsciente pero su alma sale de su cuerpo y visualiza a su familia y a ella misma tendida en el suelo, realmente no comprendía que sucedía. A medida que avanzaba la lectura se presentaron recuerdos del pasado de Mía y a su vez retomaba la realidad. Llegó un momento en que la protagonista debía tomar la decisión más díficil; si continuar con lo único que le quedaba su novio o irse con su familia, allí fue cuando entendí el por qué del título del libro. Realmente, lloré muchísimo cuando leí esas líneas.
At the end of it all, Mía decides to stay. In closing, I consider it an excellent book, as it made me reflect on so many things and enriched my literary journey immensely. Also, it's that kind of book that made me cry a lot of times, at times it presented confusion and I just wished none of that had happened. Personally, I'm more into books that have a happy ending, however, reading these genres, which don't contain an entirely beautiful ending, marks me and moves me in an inexplicable way. I almost forgot! You can also find the movie that was published in 2014.
Al final de todo, Mía decide quedarse. Para terminar, lo considero un excelente libro, al hacerme reflexionar en tantas cosas y por su parte enriquecer muchísimo mi viaje literario. Además, es ese tipo de libro que me hizo llorar un montón de veces, por momentos presentaba confusión y solo deseaba que nada de eso hubiese pasado. En lo personal, soy más de libros que tienen un final feliz, sin embargo, leer estos géneros, que no contienen un final del todo hermoso, me marca y conmueve de una forma inexplicable. ¡Casi lo olvidaba! También puedes encontrar la película que fue publicada en 2014.
