Hello everyone, today I come to share with you something that I really like to have and that has been with me for some years, and it is a small collection of stories, which was distributed in 2008 here in Venezuela by the Cultural Mission and the Editorial Foundation El Perro y la Rana, this being its first and only edition, being a compilation of stories and tales for children of different ages.
Hola a todos, hoy vengo a compartir con ustedes algo que me gusta mucho tener y que me acompaña desde algunos años, y es una pequeña colección de cuentos, la cual fue distribuida en el año 2008 acá en Venezuela por parte de la Misión Cultura y la Fundación Editorial El Perro y la Rana, siendo esta su primera y única edición, tratándose de un compilado de cuentos e historias para niños de diversas edades.
This collection I have consists of seven small copies, which is a personal plus for me, as I love miniatures. Therefore, this format of small books is something I treasure even more. I would have liked to show you the small box it comes in, but, however, in a minor accident and due to rain, it tripped over. Nevertheless, the books are more than well preserved.
Esta colección que tengo consta de 7 pequeños ejemplares, cosa que personalmente es un plus para mí, ya que soy amante de las cosas en miniatura; por ende, este formato de pequeños libros es algo que atesoro aún más. Me hubiera gustado mostrarles la pequeña caja en la que viene, pero, sin embargo, en un pequeño accidente y por temas de lluvia, sufrió un tropiezo; sin embargo, los libros están más que bien conservados.
In these copies we have a great diversity, as I said before, which I like, since we see everything from stories, tales, anecdotes and legends to a softer narrative of the tale, even for one of these called "Two Stories": "Blanca Margarita and María Celicia", where we can see part of an adventure during the times of the War of Independence, which, for those who are not very fond of the country's history, is a good way to get into it, having "A Story for Manuel" and "Nocturne on the Balcony" as other titles.
En estos ejemplares tenemos una gran diversidad, como dije anteriormente, cosa que me gusta, ya que vemos desde historias, relatos, anécdotas y leyendas hasta una narrativa del cuento más suave, incluso para uno de estos llamado "Dos historias": "Blanca Margarita y María Celicia", donde podemos ver parte de una aventura en tiempos de la guerra de independencia, cosa que, para los que no les guste mucho la historia del país, es una buena manera de ir adentrándose, teniendo "Un cuento para Manuel" y "Nocturno en el balcón" como otros títulos.
Another one I like best is "The Eagle and the Snake," a story that makes many references to that well-known Mexican legend, but told in a very descriptive way and with its variations. In "The Blue Dinosaur," we take a child on a little adventure to learn about oil, giving us a better understanding of its formation and importance, even making us feel like children while reading.
Otro de los que más me gusta es "El águila y la culebra", relato que hace mucha referencia a esa leyenda conocida de México, pero contada de manera muy descriptiva y con sus variaciones. En el "Dinosaurio azul" nos adentran a una pequeña aventura de un niño para conocer sobre lo que es petróleo, dándonos una vista más fácil a la formación e importancia de estos, incluso sintiéndonos niños mientras leemos.
In itself, there is something for everyone, since if you want something more familiar and sentimental, "The Secret Life of Grandma Margarita" is more than recommended, and it is precisely this touch of variety and broad readings that makes it possible for anyone to enjoy these quietly without any problem, since the readings are entertaining and do not tire or saturate at all.
En sí hay para todos los gustos, puesto que si quieres algo más familiar y sentimental, "La vida secreta de la abuela Margarita" está más que recomendado, y es justo este toque de la variedad y las amplias lecturas lo que hace que cualquiera pueda disfrutar tranquilamente de estos sin problema, ya que las lecturas son entretenidas y no cansan ni saturan en absoluto.
Talking about the graphic style, both in the presentations and the drawings we encounter as we read each small book, is a glimpse of everything from abstract to highly detailed art. They have a beautiful presentation, each cover adapting to the story, even conveying emotions. Some of these are like white reliefs on a black background, while others look like they were hand-drawn.
Hablar del estilo gráfico, tanto de las presentaciones como de los dibujos que nos vamos encontrando a medida que leemos cada pequeño libro, es ver desde un arte abstracto hasta uno muy detallado. Poseen una muy linda presentación, adecuada cada portada a cómo será cada historia, transmitiendo incluso emociones en estas mismas. Algunos de estos son como relieves en blanco con fondo negro, así como otros parecen que fueran dibujados a mano.
And it's something that even gives it more points, since in the history section we can see more realistic art with images that resemble paintings and in others, depicting the culture they describe. They also have a short profile of each author at the end, which greatly enhances our understanding of who is writing the story.
Y es algo que incluso le da más puntos, puesto que en el de historia podemos ver un arte más realista con imágenes que asemejan pinturas y en otros representando la cultura que explican; así mismo poseen al final una microreseña de cada autor, lo cual complementa mucho para saber sobre quién nos escribe el relato.
So, well, this is my little collection that I enjoy reading from time to time to enjoy and refresh some stories.
