"When we first begin fighting for our dreams, we have no experience and make many mistakes. The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times."

"I have known a lot of people who, when their personal calling was within their grasp, went on to commit a series of stupid mistakes and never reached their goal when it was only a step away. -DONT BE ONE OF THEM."

This 100 page book has a lot of insights and realizations about life. I could quote the whole book for its juicy, strike-to-the-bone, messages.
When I first heard about this book from book clubs, I was intrigued about the hype. I read the synopsis and it's about a boy named Santiago's journey to the pyramid. It's cliche at first, but since it's only a short read, a hundred page to be exact, I gave it a try.
Paulo Coelho's writing allowed me to immersed in the story as if Im part of the journey. Each page makes me ponder about the meaning of life, what it takes to achieve your dreams, in Santiago's case, getting those gold bars. And when we're face with hurdles and set backs, do we just walk away from that dream or conquer and overcome it?
This book also made me realize that we are allowed to change our dreams. Sometimes, somewhere along our journey towards that dream, we realized that it might not be what we truly want. And we're allowed to pivot and shift our direction to a different dream no matter what age we're on. But of course, there's a price we have to pay.
Lastly, allow me to share a 3rd quote from the book which is now my new mantra in life.
"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it."
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
