Where I found it
My eldest daughter is a decent reader but it became apparent early on that she wanted books with pictures. I went to Barnes and Noble to see if I could find some graphic novels appropriate for her. In the children’s section there were quite a few on the back wall.
Plot
There’s a prophecy that a group of dragonets will be born together and bring peace to the dragons. There are several types of dragons which are largely at war with one another. Some sort of underground group has collected dragon eggs in an attempt to have and control a group of dragonets fitting the description of those in the prophecy. These dragonets escape their captors and find challenges in the outside world.
Favorite part
The dragonets are taken captive, chained on pillars and systematically forced to fight for the entertainment of a vicious queen. While chained up Clay breaks into song and all the other captives join in.
Rating 3/5 stars
The series was written as novels before receiving this graphic novel treatment. I’ve heard good things about the novels. The graphic novel is beautifully illustrated but it’s apparent that the story has been significantly simplified and abbreviated for the graphic novel.
I am hoping to share plenty of book reviews. What sort of information do you like to see included in book reviews? I’m hoping to keep them fairly short and sweet. What do you think of my format for this post.
I love reading, but don't completely love writing. That being said I would like to improve my writing. If you have any recommendations for ways to improve my posts, please share them. I hope this post has been helpful and informative. Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows.
