The Hive book club OG knows that we used to organize this book chat about a couple years ago, roughly 2-3 years ago. We used to host this event and it was a fun experience. Since I am mostly the host and I was pretty much nomadic, sometimes it’s hard to keep up with time or hosting it.

You can’t really host things like this in a place that’s potentially crowded. Now that I am settled, it’s a lot easier to host events like this.

For starters, we have Hive account@olujay, Hive account@justfavour and Hive account@zitalove, sharing about their recent reads and their book recommendations. We talked about some Nigerian literature, authors and international authors whose books deserve more recognition.

The thing is, we just don’t discuss books. When you read a book or share a book it’s bound to go deep into the core ideas of the book and expand from there. We’re all open to all preferences because the more the merrier and we’ll be exposed to new ideas and books we otherwise wouldn’t have read.

Even if you don’t have coffee or tea, feel free to tune in. The session will only be 35-45 minutes, a short and sweet book chat. Hopefully this book chat can foster some more meaningful conversation and after the session, you’ll be even more inspired and interested in reading the books that are presented or mentioned during the session.
