From Econ to Politic To fiction...
This year, I want to read more about philosophy and economics. Since Q4 of 2020, I have been interested in the philosophy of economics and the politic. I got interested in it because of a lecture from Ha-Joon Chang, an economist from Cambridge, about five reasons why economics is political. Another book that I want to read more about is UX and UI design books. So, you can expect a review of these topics from me in the future. Of course, to balance some difficult selections, I will regularly choose fiction. This year, I also want to minimize classic novels and explore relatively new authors. I think my knowledge of pop stories needs to be upgraded, so this will focus on the book this year. To give a picture, my scope for new books is a book that is released in 2010 and beyond.
Week 1-2
For 14 days, I am going to finish the book that's illustrated above. As of now, I have almost finished reading Bitcoin and Beyond by Malcolm Campbell-Verduyn. Thus far, it is an intriguing book which attempts to answer blockchain usage in multidisciplinary case. I am also quite excited about the seven steps of habit and compare them to atomic habit. For The Road to Serfdom by Friedrich Hayek, I have seen around recommended mostly by libertarian colleagues that I know. So, I will now see what that is all about, especially that I am interested in learning about the Austrian school of thought.
Week 3-4
In line with my goal, I picked a UX book and a relatively new novel for weeks three and four. Activate was released in 2014 and written by Alex Albrinck. I hope it will turn out to be a good read. So, expect a review of this book from me.
That's all my reading plan for this January. I wonder if any of you have read those books. If so, let me know .
