Can you read 5 books in a month?
Definitely!
But here comes the challenge. These days I experience something called a “reader's block”. I stare at a page for far longer than I’d like. I flip through pages and drop it right away and would rather do something else. I just glanced over the pile of books I am supposed to be finishing last month and would rather run off somewhere. And truthfully, it sucks. I used to read at maximum 2 books a day and now, I can’t bring myself to even finish a book a week.
So, to spice my book life up, I challenge myself to read one book a week. It seemed fairly easy for my past self but now, writing this challenge itself feels terrifying. Have you experienced a similar situation?
Since I don’t have a lot of access to my collections at the moment, I only bring a few books with me. That limited choice is also a tiny bit of a problem. “ But you can always read a digital version”. I can but I don’t want to, since I am also on the mission to have non-screen time. I have finished some of the books that I have at the moment, but I can always re-read them again.
With that challenge, I could review one book a week to keep me accountable with the challenge. Who knows that it might chase away my reader’s block and I have more interesting book life again.
Do you want to join me in this challenge?
