Así es, un día como hoy sería el día en que Samantha kingston viviría siete veces el mismo día. ste libro retrata la vida de una adolescente que parece tener todo bajo control, la narración es sencilla y no nos deja dando vueltas a la cabeza, conforme van pasando las páginas en el primer día conocemos a los que sería nuestros personajes secundarios -siendo obviamente Samantha el personaje principal-, pero tal y como se lee, el primer día de los siete día de repetición, parece haber demasiados huecos, demasiadas cosas por saber en cuanto a los personajes y las situaciones que se van dando, es entonces conforme van pasando los días -repetidos- vamos entendiendo un poco más del entorno que rodea a Samantha.
Es refrescante encontrar una historia narrada de esta forma, porque puede caer en el mismo esquema que normalmente podemos encontrar, que sería como: conocer a los personajes a lo largo de la narración, conocer a nuevos personajes, conocer nuevos aspectos y actitudes de los mismos, pero la fresca idea es que todo sucede bajo el mismo escenario y bajo la misma escena que es el día doce de febrero. Lauren Oliver definitivamente nos ha dado una nueva forma de comprender, como realmente puedes cambiar tu entorno en un sólo día, simplemente cambiando tu actitud.
La redacción de la autora nos envuelve en un ambiente tan vívido que parece que entramos en la historia, tanto las imágenes y las situaciones que se presentan se pueden llegar a sentir tan cercanas y de pronto entras en el personaje de Sam y sientes todo su sufrimiento y desesperación. Es fascinante encontrar una lectura tan ligera sin caer en lo aburrido, un lenguaje coloquial pero para nada sin ser vulgar.
Entonces te puedes preguntar: "Si Sam vive el mismo día una y otra vez, ¿voy a leer lo mismo una y otra vez?". Y la respuesta puede ser sí, sin embargo, no es así, cada actitud y cada palabra cambia por parte de Samantha quién con el paso de los días va entendiendo y viendo más allá de la punta de su nariz. Y eso es fascinante.

That's right, a day like today would be the day Samantha Kingston would live seven times the same day. his book portrays the life of a teenage girl who seems to have everything under control, the narration is simple and doesn't leave us spinning our heads, as the pages go by on the first day we meet our secondary characters - obviously Samantha being the main character-, but as it reads, the first day of the seven days of repetition, there seem to be too many gaps, too many things to know about the characters and the situations that occur, it is then as the days go by -repeated- we understand a little more of the environment surrounding Samantha.
It is refreshing to find a story narrated in this way, because it can fall into the same scheme that we can normally find, which would be like: meeting the characters throughout the narrative, meeting new characters, meeting new aspects and attitudes of the characters, but the fresh idea is that everything happens under the same scenario and under the same scene which is the twelfth of February. Lauren Oliver has definitely given us a new way to understand, how you can really change your environment in just one day, just by changing your attitude.
The author's writing envelops us in an atmosphere so vivid that we seem to enter the story, both the images and the situations that are presented can feel so close and suddenly you enter Sam's character and feel all his suffering and despair. It is fascinating to find such a light reading without falling into the boring, a colloquial language but not at all without being vulgar.
Then you may wonder: "If Sam lives the same day over and over again, am I going to read the same thing over and over again? ". And the answer may be yes, however, it's not, every attitude and every word changes on the part of Samantha who as the days go by is understanding and seeing beyond the tip of her nose. And that is fascinating.
Without further ado, I recommend this book with my eyes closed, an entertaining and enjoyable book to read. Well then you're going to wonder what happens on the last day of repetition, to find out you'll have to read Sam's story to find out.
