Greetings, dear friends of the community, how are you? I'm quite happy to be back sharing a review here. To be honest, I disappeared because I couldn't find anything that motivated me to read, any story that caught my attention; everything ended up boring me, until I accepted a recommendation from my girlfriend for a book she really liked, and that's how I started reading again and experiencing those moments of joy, sadness, happiness, and annoyance as I progressed through the story. So, without further ado, I want to tell you about the book called “Etéreo” by Joana Marcús.

INTRODUCTION
The story in this book focuses on two characters. On the one hand, we have Caleb, who we understand from the outset is not an ordinary boy, as he has certain abilities and therefore works with people in a rather illegal environment; on the other hand, we have Victoria, a girl who is quite ordinary, with a routine life that is nothing out of the ordinary.
During one of Caleb's illegal missions, the situation becomes complicated. Victoria witnessed it, and Caleb is then assigned the task of watching Victoria to make sure she doesn't talk. If she does, Caleb must take care of the situation.
But everything becomes complicated when situations arise in which certain feelings begin to surface slowly but visibly, and it is here that Caleb must consider many things about the life he has led all this time and what has happened in this short period of time while watching over Victoria.
ANALYSIS
There are many things to highlight about this story, but one of the most notable is the characters; we have a large number of characters with very well-defined personalities and, even though they are all very different, that is what makes them fit together perfectly. While the main characters are my favorites, I must say that there are others who even steal the show, such as Victoria's cat. This cat is a big part of the comic relief in the story and is definitely one of my favorite characters, but they all contribute to the plot, they all have a role to play, and they all make you feel different things, from empathy to dislike, hatred, nostalgia, or revenge.
It has a pretty good pace, because we see the perspectives of both protagonists; therefore, we get to know each of their lives, their environment, and how each character has a different view of the world, which makes you even more eager to keep reading to understand how everything ends up connecting. Personally, it has been one of the books I have finished the fastest because of that desire to keep reading a little more.
It's an original story in some ways, but I feel like it also falls into many clichés, such as the damsel in distress who needs to be saved, the desire to change the bad boy, and other romantic aspects. Even so, I find the story very entertaining. It's not really aimed at teenagers, who may like it, but I would say that adults are also a large part of the target audience because of many of the themes it touches on.
One negative aspect that I didn't like is how obvious certain things are that you expect or can intuit as you read. I'm not talking about the story itself, because I must say that I was quite surprised by many plot twists that I didn't expect, but rather I'm talking about the characters. Sometimes you know where they are headed or what has happened to them to make them do the things they do, and while you don't need to be an expert to figure it out, I find it more entertaining when the depth of the character is developed little by little. However, it doesn't bother me, as I said before, it has a good pace and this allows you to enjoy it just the same, but it is something I wanted to mention.
MY CONCLUSION
My final conclusion is that I understand why it is one of my girlfriend's favorite books; it really captivated me in many ways, left me wanting more (I should clarify that it is a duology), and made me more interested in this type of reading. I mean, I am a lover of romance and this is something that fascinates me, but I am not such a fan of the fiction in this type of book. Even so, I managed to enjoy it from beginning to end. It surprised me, made me laugh, made me suffer at times, left me speechless at others, but always took my mind on a roller coaster of emotions, which is undoubtedly what makes me enjoy this book so much.
I can't say that there is a specific audience for this book. I would say that anyone who wants to discover a new story and a new world (because yes, it seems that Joana's books are connected in several ways; I'm still new to this, so I'll tell you more about it as I read the other books) with a large number of characters that are sure to steal your heart will enjoy it. It's a great book for that. plus, it has everything, so it's hard to get bored, and I'm sure you'll end up connecting with a character even if it's hard at times, because not everything is always as you think it is. So, I definitely recommend this book. Make room for it, and you won't be disappointed.

Saludos, queridos amigos de la comunidad, ¿cómo se encuentran? Yo bastante contento de volver a compartir una reseña por aquí. Siendo muy honesto, me desaparecí porque no encontraba algo que me motivara a leer, alguna historia que se me hiciera llamativa; todo me terminaba aburriendo, hasta que acepté una recomendación de mi novia con un libro que le gustaba mucho a ella y de esa manera volví a leer y a experimentar esos momentos de alegría, tristeza, felicidad, molestia mientras más avanzaba en la historia, así que, sin más que agregar, quiero hablarles del libro llamado “Etéreo” de Joana Marcús.

INTRODUCCIÓN
La historia de este libro se centra en dos personajes. Por un lado, tenemos a Caleb, de quien desde un principio se nos hace entender que no es un chico corriente, ya que tiene ciertas habilidades y, por ende, trabaja con personas en un entorno nada legal; por otro lado, tenemos a Victoria, una chica que es bastante común y corriente, con una vida rutinaria que no sobresale de lo normal.
En una de estas misiones de Caleb nada legales, la situación se complica; Victoria fue testigo de ello y entonces se le asigna la misión a Caleb de vigilar a Victoria para asegurarse de que ella no va a hablar y, de ser así, Caleb debe encargarse de la situación.
Pero todo se complica cuando empiezan a surgir escenarios donde algunos sentimientos empiezan a salir a flote de una manera lenta, pero visible, y es aquí cuando Caleb debe plantearse muchas cosas de la vida que ha llevado todo este tiempo y lo que ha ocurrido en este corto tiempo vigilando a Victoria.
ANÁLISIS
Hay muchas cosas para destacar de esta historia, pero una de las que más destaca son los personajes; tenemos una gran cantidad de personajes con personalidades muy bien definidas y que, por mucho que sean contrarios entre todos, es lo que hace que encajen a la perfección. Si bien los protagonistas son mis favoritos, debo decir que hay otros que incluso se roban la atención, como por ejemplo el gato de Victoria. Este gato es gran parte del alivio cómico de la historia y sin duda de mis personajes favoritos, pero todos aportan a la trama, todos tienen una función y todos te generan distintos sentimientos, desde empatía, desagrado, odio, nostalgia o venganza.
Tiene un ritmo bastante bueno, porque vemos las perspectivas de ambos protagonistas; por ende, vamos conociendo la vida de cada uno, su entorno y cómo cada personaje tiene una vista del mundo distinta, lo que hace incluso que te den más ganas de seguir leyendo para entender cómo todo termina conectándose. Personalmente, ha sido uno de los libros que más rápido he terminado por esas ganas de querer seguir leyendo un poco más.
Es una historia original en ciertos aspectos, pero siento que también peca en muchos aspectos clichés de la doncella que necesita ser salvada, el querer cambiar al chico rudo y otros aspectos novelescos, pero aun con todo eso, la historia se me hace muy entretenida; no es tan dirigida a los adolescentes, que, si bien puede gustarles, diría que el público adulto es también gran parte de a quien se dirige por muchos de los temas que tocan.
Un aspecto negativo que no fue de mi agrado es lo evidente que son ciertas cosas que te esperas o que puedes ir intuyendo mientras lees, no hablo de la historia como tal, porque debo decir que quedé bastante sorprendido con muchos giros de trama que no me esperaba, sino más bien hablo de los personajes, en ocasiones sabes hacia donde se dirigen o qué es lo que ha pasado con ellos para hacer las cosas que hacen y si bien no hace falta ser un experto para ello, se me hace más entretenido que te vayan poco a poco desarrollando la profundidad del personaje, pero tampoco me molesta, como dije antes, tiene buen ritmo y esto permite que lo disfrutes de igual manera, pero es un aspecto que quería mencionar.
MI CONCLUSIÓN
Mi conclusión final es que entiendo por qué es uno de los libros favoritos de mi novia; realmente llegó a cautivarme en muchos aspectos, me dejó con ganas de más (aclaro que es una bilogía) e hizo que me interesara más en este tipo de lectura, quiero decir, yo soy un amante del romance y esto es algo que me fascina, pero no soy tan fan de la ficción que hay en este tipo de libros y aun así, logré disfrutarlo de principio a fin, sorprendiéndome, haciéndome reír, sufrir en ciertas ocasiones, en otras quedar sin saber qué decir, pero siempre llevando mi mente en una montaña rusa de emociones, lo cual sin duda es lo que hace que disfrute mucho de este libro.
No puedo decir que hay un público específico para este libro, diría que cualquiera que quiera conocer una nueva historia y un nuevo mundo (porque sí, al parecer los libros de Joana están conectados en varios aspectos, todavía soy nuevo en eso, así que les iré contando más o menos de ello mientras lea los otros libros) con una gran cantidad de personajes que sin duda te van a robar el corazón, es un gran libro para hacerlo, además, tiene de todo, por ende es difícil aburrirte y estoy seguro que terminas conectando con algún personaje aunque en ocasiones te cueste, porque no todo es siempre como uno lo cree, así que, mi recomendación sin duda a este libro, háganle un hueco y no les decepcionará.
