Today I will talk about the book "Enemy Rumour", by Cuban writer José María Andrés Fernando Lezama Lima, known by all as José Lezama Lima (1910-1976)
I participated in the festival "Read, dream, grow" when this book reached my hands. It was the awards ceremony of the contest, and one of my stories presented "Luna" obtained first prize in the adult category.
In the place a small fair with the sale of books was developed, and there were only two copies of the poems. I was surprised when the young man who was in front of me in the tail bought the two and said:
"This will be yours."Years ago I wanted to acquire it and I did not find it, I hope it helps and knows how to appreciate it.
And how not to do it if I had given me a jewel. Just read his first poems to realize that the poems achieves an unprecedented form of expression in the author's own life, with that ease of expression between pleasure and complaint, betting on the creativity of the verse.
And it is not, that only I as a reader appreciates it. Many express that their lyric was renovating, and different.The book was first presented in 1941 in Bayamo, and the copy they gave me was reissued by the South Editors collection in 2018.
It really is a special work in which it shows that the author when writing it was inspired by the Spanish classics of the so -called Golden Age, keeping its validity until today.Precisely because he advocates that claim that reaches our days, together with a song of love and heartbreak.
The Lezamian work for many, is one of the most enigmatic of contemporary Hispanic literature, but when reading "enemy rumor", an unusual vocabulary is managed to appreciate with a descriptive and impeccable lyricism.
The poems consists of three chapters:
Philosophy of the clainl, where thirteen plasma of his poems.
The sky rolls - which does not match its attempt and the graceful time to travel the possession of the carnation over the coldest neck of that high empire of centuries ...
Infidel sonnets With eighteen verses, it is the structure that predominates most in the poems and where the writer's total mastery is appreciated.
Llovida, knotted in metal or cuited in the serene to trust that it undoes it, create its first and only snow look, death that pleases ...
For my taste as a poet, this is the favorite structure.
And finally only rumor with nine poems.
When reading and rereading the poems, I always remember my friend's words the Peruvian poet Abdón Pacheco García:
"If you totally lean to fully fulfill the poetic structures, your speech can be lost."
In this case, the sonnets written in this poems have some freedom.They have no molds or schemes to arrest their words.The author can achieve a work of infinite polysemy.
Many readers manage to appreciate the extraordinary values of their writing, but like other poets like me, they use it as a reference that is why I invite you to read today.

Hoy les hablaré sobre el libro “Enemigo rumor", del escritor cubano José María Andrés Fernando Lezama Lima, conocidos por todos como José Lezama Lima (1910- 1976)
Participaba yo, en el Festival “Leer, soñar, crecer” cuando este libro llegó a mis manos. Era la ceremonia de premiación del concurso, y uno de mis cuentos presentados “Luna” obtenía primer premio en la categoría de adultos.
En el lugar se desarrollaba una pequeña feria con venta de libros, y solo habían dos ejemplares del poemario. Me sorprendí cuando el joven que estaba delante de mí en la cola compró los dos y me dijo:
—Este será de usted. Hace años quería adquirirlo y no lo encontraba, espero que le sirva de ayuda y sepa apreciarlo.
Y como no hacerlo si me había regalado una joya. Solo basta leer sus primeros poemas para percatarse que el poemario logra una forma de expresión sin precedentes en la propia época de vida del autor, con esa facilidad de expresión entre el placer y la queja, apostando por la creatividad del verso.
Y no es, que solo yo como lectora lo aprecie. Muchos expresan que su lírica fue renovadora, y diferente. El libro fue presentado por primera vez en 1941 en Bayamo, y el ejemplar que me regalaron fue reeditado por la Colección Sur Editores en el año 2018.
Realmente es una obra especial en la cual se nota, que el autor al escribirla se inspiró en los clásicos españoles del llamado siglo de oro, manteniendo su vigencia hasta la actualidad. Precisamente porque aboga por ese reclamo que llega a nuestros días, unido a un canto de amor y desamor.
La obra lezamiana para muchos, es una de las más enigmática de la literatura hispana contemporánea, pero al leer al detalle “Enemigo rumor", se logra apreciar un vocabulario inusitado con un lirismo descriptivo e impecable.
El poemario consta de tres capítulos:
Filosofía del clavel, donde plasma trece de sus poemas.
Rueda el cielo —que no concuerde su intento y el grácil tiempo a recorrer la posesión del clavel sobre la nuca más fría de ese alto imperio de siglos…
Sonetos infieles con dieciocho versos, es la estructura que más predomina en el poemario y donde se aprecia el total dominio del escritor por la métrica.
Llovida, anudada en metal o cuitada en el sereno confiar que la deshace, va creando su primera y única mirada nieve su suerte, muerte que complace…
Para mi gusto como poetisa, esta es la estructura favorita.
Y por último Único rumor con nueve poemas.
Al leer y releer el poemario, recuerdo siempre las palabras de mi amigo el poeta peruano Abdón Pacheco García:
—Si te inclinas totalmente por cumplir cabalmente las estructuras poéticas , puede perderse tu discurso.
En este caso los sonetos escritos en este poemario tienen cierta libertad. No tienen moldes o esquemas que apresaran sus palabras. Pudiendo lograr el autor una obra de infinita polisemia.
Muchos lectores logran apreciar los extraordinarios valores de su escritura, pero al igual otros poetas como yo, lo usan como referencia por eso los invito hoy a su lectura.
