Hello friends, today I want to bring you a book that I usually read when Christmas approaches because it brings back memories and to some extent it reminds me of the essence of what Christmas should be the ability to open your heart not only with family but with everything that surround us and see our neighbor.
This book that I bring you is A Christmas Carol, a book by Charles Dickens published on December 19, 1843, it is also known in Spanish as Christmas Song, it is but the best, one of the best novels of this author.
Hola amigos hoy quiero traerles un libro que suelo leer cuando se acerca la navidad porque me trae recuerdos y de alguna medida me recuerda la esencia de lo que la navidad debería ser la capacidad de abrir el corazón no solo con la familia sino con todo aquello que nos rodea y ver a nuestro prójimo.
Este libro que les traigo es Cuento de Navidad, un libro de Charles Dickens publicado en el 19 de diciembre de 1843, también se le conoce en español como Canción de navidad, es sino el mejor, unos de las mejores novelas de este autor.
This work has been taken to film, television, musicals and even video games, it is therefore well known, this review will be from my personal point of view and the meaning it has for me, for what you have not read I invite you to doing it is not the same as in the movies it does not have that magic that only books have.
This masterpiece of literature is a mix of fable with fantasy narrative. The work is set in Victorian England, where the social difference between the richest and the least favored is contrasted with greater clarity, an oppressive and gloomy environment, with happy moments, which the author reflected in almost all his books reflecting his own hard childhood. It is an easy-to-read and short book, less than 150 pages.
Esta obra a sido llevaba al cine, televisión, musicales y hasta video juegos, es por lo tanto muy conocida, esta reseña será desde mi punto de vista personal y el significado que tiene para mí, para lo que no lo han leído lo invito a hacerlo no es igual que en las películas no tiene esa magia que solo los libros tienen.
Esta obra maestra de la literatura es una mezcla de fábula con narrativa de fantasía. La obra se sitúa en la Inglaterra victoriana, en donde se contrasta con mayor nitidez la diferencia social entre los más ricos y los menos favorecidos, un ambiente opresivo y lúgubre, con momentos felices, que el autor plasmo en casi todos sus libros reflejando su propia dura infancia. Es un libro fácil de leer y corto, de menos de 150 páginas.
A Christmas Carol presents the story of a businessman and moneylender Ebenezer Scrooge, a rough, greedy, tough man, with no friends who only lives to hoard money, who worked with his partner Jacob Marley until he passed away on Christmas Eve, his only Familiar is his nephew Fred, someone cheerful and sociable, whom he never visits. He has only one employee Bob Cratchit, who is exploited by his employer. Scrooge hates Christmas and thinks that it only serves to make people spend his money and make him lose money. He gives his employee Bob the day off just because the law requires it and his nephew rejects as usual the invitation to have dinner on Christmas Eve with him and his family.
Cuento de Navidad nos presenta la historia de un negociante y prestamista Ebenezer Scrooge, un hombre tosco, avaro, duro, sin amigos que solo vive para atesorar dinero, que trabajaba con su socio Jacob Marley hasta que este fallece una víspera de navidad, su único familiar es su sobrino Fred alguien alegre y sociable al cual nunca visita. Tiene un solo empleado Bob Cratchit, quién es explotado por su patrón. Scrooge odia la navidad y piensa que solo sirve para hacer que la gente gaste su dinero y hacerle perder dinero. A su empleado Bob le da el día libre solo porque la ley lo exige y a su sobrino le rechaza como es costumbre la invitación a cenar en noche buena con él y su familia.
One night before Christmas, when Scrooge leaves his business and goes home to sleep, he is visited by a ghost, who turns out to be his old partner Marley, the specter drags some heavy chains and tells Scrooge that it is the result of his life of selfishness and greed. He explains to Ebenezer that he has the opportunity to mend his life, that he will be visited by 3 ghosts that will help him rectify himself or on the contrary he will be condemned to wear chains heavier than his.
Una noche antes de navidad, al salir de su negocio e ir a casa a dormir Scrooge, es visitado por un fantasma, que resulta ser su viejo socio Marley, el espectro arrastra unas pesadas cadenas y le dice a Scrooge que es el resultado de su vida de egoísmo y avaricia. Le explica a Ebenezer que tiene la oportunidad de enmendar su vida, que será visitado por 3 fantasmas que lo ayudaran a rectificarse o por el contrario será condenado a llevar unas cadenas más pesadas que las suya.
Scrooge doesn't have time to process what happens before the first of the three ghosts appears. Each one of them reaches a place and peak in his life, the past, the present and the future. They make him reflect on the important things in life that are not money, but friends, family and spending moments with them and enjoying every moment. Since then Scrooge has changed and wanted to be known as a happy man who loved to celebrate.
Scrooge no tiene tiempo de procesar lo que pasa antes que le aparezca el primero de los tres fantasmas. Cada uno de ellos lo llega a un lugar y momento cumbre de su vida, el pasado, el presente y el futuro. Lo hacen reflexionar en las cosas importantes de la vida que no es el dinero, si no los amigos, la familia y el pasar momentos con ellos y disfrutar cada instante. Desde entonces Scrooge cambio y quería ser conocido como un hombre alegre y que amaba la celebración.
This book for me is magical because it reminds us that we must place our priorities on family and friends, on helping others as much as possible, celebrating life with joy and Christmas at the time to do so.
Este libro para mí es mágico porque nos recuerda que debemos colocar nuestras prioridades en la familia y amigos, en ayudar en la medida de lo posible al prójimo, celebrando la vida con alegría y la navidad en el momento para hacerlo.
