Hi everybody. How are you? I hope you're okay. Today is my day off. This time means a lot to me. I want to share with you a book that I find very unique. The book is entitled "Samaran" written by Dadang Ari Murtono. You may be confused by the title of this book. I am also confused. This book tells the story of a village called Samaran. It's about a character named Marjin who is very lazy.
Sleep Marjin for three full days. It made the old man think that the margin was dead. In the end, his parents had to call a shaman. By the way, I have to explain that this novel is about a village that was created after the Majapahit empire disappeared. They don't use the money as payment. Back to discussing Margin. When summoned by the shaman, Marjin quickly got up and ate.
As soon as Marjin woke up, the Samaran believed that he would be his successor. Margins are trained for the next few months. Uniquely, Marjin often fell asleep during practice. However, until months of practice, Marjin was still asleep while practicing. Finally, the shaman gave up on teaching Marjin. The margin returns to the parent.
Samaran is a very remote village. Samaran is considered a village that is in another dimension. It is told in this story, there is a person who accidentally enters Samaran, because that person is lost in the forest. The point of view of this story is in the third person. Thus, the reader knows everything in the book, knows everything in this story.
The story is very interesting. The author is able to explain each character well. Readers see firsthand the characters depicted. The book tells how Samaran was made into a small village. Shamans are an important element and must be present in every generation. Shamans are considered guardians of the village and guardians of the occult mystic.
Samaran doesn't know the money. All daily needs come from nature, from the forest. Nature provides all their needs. From food to clothing to building houses. Uniquely, all the residents of Samaran live quite well. For the plot of this story, the author makes a back-and-forth plot.
Author is very good at explaining the character of each character. Likewise the background of each scene depicted. In fact, it is related to the Majapahit kingdom. For me, the author of this book is smart enough to connect a story with a kingdom that once stood in Indonesia. In fact, taking one of the most important events in the Majapahit kingdom.
This is an adult novel. There are a lot of vulgar words in this book. I'm a little uncomfortable with those words. This book tells the story of the people who live in the village. I learned a very important lesson from this novel. First, we must make wise decisions. We cannot make hasty decisions. I admit, if I make a hasty decision, I always regret it. It is also in one of the stories in this book.
Second, women are often thought of as the second gender. Women are considered unimportant. Most of the time, women are often blamed for what they didn't do. It is in this book's conversation between Romlah and her husband. in this book, Romlah asserts that if her husband's clothes are not dry, he should not blame her and ask about clothes that are not dry. Because, romlah does not have the ability to regulate the weather.
Third, Don't Give Up Easily. I like the character named Bestar who brings ludruk to Samaran. It was not easy to convince the people of Samaran about Ludruk. But Bestar did not give up hope to convince the residents about ludruk. Fourth, about the disease of fear and anxiety. Admit it or not, if one of the diseases that are difficult to cure is anxiety and fear. in my reflection if we need to control our emotions so as not to become anxious. And panic in fear.
