I found her two novels from the Queen of the North saga in one book, and last night I finished reading the first one, which I'm now going to tell you about. It's a novel suitable for those who love fantasy, featuring other worlds, lands, magic, and war. It's also suitable for young adults because it's not too crude or erotic.
The plot centers on Brianna, a young girl whose grandfather leaves her for a special school where anyone can become a master of a specific discipline, mastering it with skill. The disciplines are art, eloquence, music, theater, and wisdom. Brianna lives in a land called Valenia, but it's known that she also has Maevian origins, from another land ravaged by conflict and ruled by a tyrannical king. Brianna doesn't know who her father is, and a secret lingers about her paternal origins. Over the years, Brianna fails to excel in any subject at school. She gradually moves closer to Sapienza, where she develops a strong bond with her teacher, Cartier. But at the end of school, when all her classmates find a patron who takes them under his wing, she is left alone and without a patron.

And of course, beyond politics and fantasy, there's also a touch of romance. It's a very enjoyable fantasy, easy to read and understand, including the dynasties and houses, suitable for adults and teenagers, and written in a simple and direct style. It's not one of the best fantasy books I've read, it has some flaws, like the plot being a bit flat at times and the love story not being developed very well, but overall I liked it and now I'll read the second volume too.
