I am learning French. That's why I started reading children's books in French. My level is still very low, but I decided to read with a translator, even if there is not a single word I know on the page. It turned out that everything was not so bad and there was not a single page with unfamiliar words 🙂 But all the same, sometimes I had to write a lot. This book was given to us along with some other books in French.

Snow White is very beautiful. But she thinks she's ugly. She looks at herself in the mirror and thinks that her nose is too long, her face is not pretty and she doesn't like her body at all. Snow White thinks that she can safely be called the ugliest on Earth.
But there is also an evil witch. She keeps asking her mirror if she is the most hideous person on Earth, and the mirror answers without a doubt that she is. Although, once, the mirror doubted. Because Snow White considered herself very ugly, and the mirror answered the witch that Snow White is uglier than you. The witch was very upset and wanted to kill Snow White.

She sent her servant to carry out her evil intention, but the servant, seeing Snow White in life, realized that she was not really ugly, but beautiful. And he did not follow the witch's order.
He cheated because the witch ordered him to bring Snow White's heart to her. He bought a sheep's heart from the store and brought it to the witch.
Meanwhile, Snow White finds herself in a giant house in which 7 giants live. She saw huge bowls of soup there, a huge bed, couldn't resist, ate and lay down there to rest. Then the giants turned and noticed her. She said that the evil witch wants to kill her and that's why she doesn't know where to go. Snow White began to work in the house of the seven Giants.
Meanwhile, the wicked witch kept asking her mirror if she was the ugliest thing on Earth, and the mirror told her again and again that you are ugly, but Snow White is more ugly. The witch realized that her servant did not kill Snow White, and decides to somehow get rid of the rival herself. She goes to the house of the seven giants.
She will try to poison Snow White, but she will not succeed.
Once a prince came to the house of the seven Giants. He saw Snow White and fell in love with her. Although Snow White continued to think that she was the ugliest on Earth, the Prince told her that she was beautiful and that all of her features, which she thought were flaws, were actually beautiful. This is how this fairy tale ends, Snow White leaves the home of the Giants.
Although the book is for children, it was interesting to read it at the stage of learning French. I managed to minimize looking at the translator, but there is still work to be done.
By the way, it was convenient that certain phrases and words were often repeated in this story. For example, turning a witch to a mirror, etc.
I advise everyone to read such children's books if you are learning a foreign language.
Well, the story of Snow White may not be very instructive, but it reminds us that we need to love ourselves and that the concept of beauty or ugliness is relative. Beauty is in the soul, ugliness is also in the soul, the main thing is what actions you carry with you in this world.
