Earlier today, during class, I got bored and decided to scroll through my phone. I noticed this app,Wattpad still on it. Opening the app,it was nostalgic. I remember the first time ever I started reading Wattpad books. It was the year of the COVID period. Going through it just made me realize how incredible writers are and the amount of talents the world has. I remember reading books written by 14 years old, 10 years old,19 and older. I first read After on Wattpad before ever watching the movie.
Wattpad was first programmed....To be very honest l didn't bother searching about the app on the net,its interests and why it was thought of,why it existed. In my own opinion right? I think Wattpad aims at bringing writers and readers together. Making paths for young writers who needs or wants to share their work on a platform and yes,I think that's part of the things the app aims at.
Wattpad was therapeutic for me. Or should I say is therapeutic. Honestly speaking,I haven't been on the app for awhile. The last time I opened it should be a year ago, around 2022. During the pandemic season, this was what I used to pass time. It may sound weird but I don't say it as a negative thing or anything.
Wattpad was life. It was addictive.
I can't count how many times I got my phone seized cause of it😂
There were days I couldn't go an hour without starting a new book after ending one. And I aimed for right books! In Wattpad, it can be a little tricky finding good books. It has a shitty algorithm to be honest, usually bringing up mid standard books in obvious display
I'm really sorry if I'm being rude in a way but I speak nothing but the truth. Wattpad gave way for people to be famous not gonna lie! It was that good!
Nah man,I really wish we could bring back its reign but I doubt that is possible now with published books pdf and epub files everywhere. And that's also a good thing! In life, we evolve! Irrespective of the fact, that we sometimes miss how it was before but then we have a lot to look forward to after!
I have a lot of books that got me hooked. To be honest I think I read over a hundred and something books during the pandemic period. And this doesn't include the hard copy books my mum got for me😂!
There were some books that really got me hooked and brought me to my knees.
Books like Arrows and Anchors!
Duplicity!
This was one book that made me cry my eyes out. I was so so sad cause the whole emotional ride throughout reading the book was too much for my little heart.
Roses for Rachel!
Ahh,this was the first book I read on Wattpad and it was really amazing. I absolutely loved it and still adore it till date and would definitely read it this year if I have any spare time😭. I urge you to try it if you can and you haven't for real! I cried here too.
Another one that gave me the shivers should be The Paladin!
I loved the paladin because it didn't really have any smutty scenes. I think about three years ago, younger me would actually despise the sentences I'm making right now. I adore books that are good for just the plot and the characters! A book doesn't have to be filled with smut before it can be good! Books like The Cruel prince! An epic novel without any manner or form of smut scene. A true jewel to behold!
By the way,the Paladin got published in real life!
Nah,cause I've said it before and I'll say it again. Wattpad was a really good app. I don't know if it still is,I don't really use it anymore 🥲. I absolutely love the fact,it helps people grow and soar higher!
Thanks for reading!
