It was a really long day. A day just right to watch tv,sleep, eat, stare at nothing for a while and repeat the whole process again.
I was 11 and the only books I ever read were diaries of a wimpy kid, dork diaries, some random school novels and Mary Kate and Ashley books. I never really fancied the idea of sitting down to read. It was boring. I didn't like boring things. I was really extroverted at this time. One would see me now and the 11 year old me and say we aren't the same person.
My cousin left some of her books at home cause she was rushing to go to school. I was so bored I picked a book with the aim to be lured to sleep. But I wasn't.
Things got way worst during the Coronavirus period. I think that's when I changed to a complete different person. Hard cover/physical books were expensive so I couldn't get any at this time. During the early time of the coronavirus era,I wasted hours texting. Thinking of it now,I wished I found Wattpad earlier. It all started when I woke up one morning and decided to go ghost for awhile. I found out upcoming writers create pages on Facebook to post their stories. And then, I read them. I read and read. Casually upgraded to Wattpad.
My God! I wasn't sleeping anymore. I'd spend my whole day reading books. My first vampire book which still tops all the vampire books I've read was Roses for Rachel. I've probably read better but I couldn't just let this book go. Yes, I've read better but Roses for Rachel should still be among my top ten vampire books.
I read a lot of werewolves and vampire books on Wattpad and this vampire book was just amazing. It was written by Shelby Painter and it revolves around a girl called Rachel. Rachel was human, abducted and auctioned to the vampire community, along with four other girls. They were to compete to be the Prince's right hand as he rule(same thing as being his wife). A vampire prince. Now,Vampires are creature of the night who feed on blood, preferably human blood. A human Queen and a vampire King!? It sounded absurd. It was absurd.
Roses for Rachel is an amazing book with a classic yet simple storyline. Well, if you're like me,that likes challenging every book I low-key read and sees whether I can predict what's going to happen next, I'd love to hear what you thought or predicted when reading the book. Personally,I don't like a book I can predict. Once I've predicted like 4 to 5 scenes or actions,I immediately get bored. Is it only me who's like this or I'm just built different?. If you're free or done with that current book you're reading,Read Roses for Rachel today! I'd still give this book 5 stars, anytime anyday! Can be found on Wattpad or Goodreads
