It's been so long since I read a book.
Almost a period of 6 months, I've been riddled with school, house chores, anime and games plus other items, that I have simply just forgotten about my bookshelf and it's long list of unread.
Although 2 weeks ago, after a rather deadly wave of random depression and laziness, I found myself picking up my phone, scrolling through my documents and picking the first novel that entered my eyes.
And that was....

Now normally I'm not one for snobby love stories, neither do I usually go for the enemies turn to lovers trope, but there's just something about this philosophical teens journey that Raeesah built here.

Love life and sports have never been written about more nicely than how it's done in this story.
Nyx Taylor has always been one to accept challenges, especially if she's getting paid for it.
So it was no surprise that she chose to accept the challenge of being the marketer for her school's ice hockey team, despite all the boys on said team hating her and she hating them.
While working with the team, Nyx is forced to face past experiences and trauma's that she thought she's already past. With the Captain of the hockey team being her former lover and present enemy, would her feelings and views about men change?~from my own understanding
Like I mentioned before, never would I have thought that I would be enthralled by a love story 😂.
Maybe it's because this isn't just a love story, it touches way more aspects than just love.
Well, despite my unjust dislike for the genre of love, it was a great book nonetheless, that has some particular points that were especially lovely to me.

This book had a bunch of memorable characters with different distinct personalities.
I think that's one thing that should be taken note of.
With the plot of the story majorly being in a school like setting, the character list was long.
Regardless there was no mixing up of people, nor no instance you'll have to go back a few pages to figure out who's who.

The Law of Attraction is a very special story in the fact that it shows what and how a broken home can affect it's inhabitants.
How the littlest form of abuse affects it's victims and how the victims go about affecting others.
It's a very strong theme that really kept me going and I appreciate the wholesome journey.

Now a lot of good books start out strong and the ending just ends up coming short.
This book was nothing like that and for that I'm eternally grateful. (I would hate for my first book after 7 months to have a crappy ending 😂)
The ending was simple and yet so comforting. It was really well thought off ✨.

A really great book, a magical tale of love was portrayed by Raeesah Ambarker.
The crazy thing is that this is her first book mates.
Yep, released last year, this her debut book is a fantabulous success by my standards.
Now normally I hate reading good books as they just come out cause I'll be itching for more 😂
For now all I can do is sit and await the sequel, which I'm surely going to read.
