Greetings, fellow readers. Today I want to share with you the review of the last book I read. It is the saga Of Blood and Ashes by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This is the second book, and if you haven't read it or just started reading the saga, I recommend you not to read this review. There are important things that can damage you the whole first book, although I will try not to do it.

Saludos, amigos lectores. El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la reseña del último libro que me leí. Se trata de la saga De Sangre y Cenizas de Jennifer L. Armentrout. Este es el segundo libro, y si no lo has leído o apenas empezaste a leer la saga, te recomiendo que no leas esta reseña porque hay cosas importantes que pueden dañarte el primer libro entero, aunque intentaré no hacerlo.
I wasn't planning to review this book, and I decided to just when I finished reading it because the ending left me with my mouth open. The main reason I didn't want to review it is because it was too heavy to read. I feel like half of the book went on filler, this filler consisted of cramming in a lot of spicy encounters between the main characters. I should clarify that I've kind of made my peace with the erotic theme in books now, I was being very demure. Although I have a strong reason why I didn't like erotic books (50 shades of Grey, Cof, Cof) but thanks to this saga, I let it go, I already accept those part, I even enjoy it. Now for it to be the main theme of this book, and for it to be sold to you as juvenile fantasy, when it is clearly erotic fantasy, is another thing. Moving on...
One of the things I liked most about this book is that there is more magic than in the previous one, Poppy's gift is growing and she does wonderful things. Although it seemed to me that her warrior spirit, which she had throughout the first book, diminished a bit, in this book she is more submissive and does practically everything she is told. She only saves herself with the only phrase that she wants to stab Casteel.
As for Casteel, the first book ended with him being a very dark character, and in the second book none of that appeared. I know they wanted to show his kind and tender side, but I'd like to see him more like being the dark lord, the title he's earned in spades. He got very touchy-feely, and I want to see evil, haha.
! [Spanish] Yo no tenía pensado hacer una reseña de este libro, y lo decidí justo cuando terminé de leerlo porque el final me dejó con la boca abierta. La razón principal por la que no quería reseñarlo es porque se me hizo muy pesado de leer. Siento que la mitad del libro se fue en relleno, este relleno consistía en meter muchos encuentros picantes entre los protagonistas. Debo aclarar que ya he hecho un poco las paces con el tema erótico en los libros de ahora, estaba siendo muy recatada. Aunque tengo una razón fuerte para que no me gustaran los libros eróticos (50 sombras de Grey, Cof, Cof) pero gracias a esta saga, lo dejé pasar, ya acepto esas parte, incluso la disfruto. Ahora que sea el tema principal de este libro, y que te lo vendan como fantasía juvenil, cuando claramente es fantasía erótica, es otra cosa. Continuemos…
Una de las cosas que más me gustó de este libro es que hay más magia que en el anterior, el don de Poppy va creciendo y hace cosas maravillosas. Aunque me pareció que mermó un poco su espíritu guerrero, ese que tenía en todo el primer libro, en este es más sumisa y hace prácticamente todo lo que le dicen, y solo se salva con la única frase de que quiere apuñalar a Casteel.En cuanto a Casteel, el primer libro terminó con él siendo un personaje muy oscuro, y en el segundo libro no apareció nada de eso. Sé que querían mostrar su lado amable y tierno, pero me gustaría verlo más bien siendo el señor oscuro, el título que se ha ganado a pulso. Se enterneció mucho y yo quiero ver maldad, jaja.
The truth is that I found it very tiresome to read and not because it was a very rich book in literature, but because so much filler bored me, so I got bored reading. I took a whole week to read it, and I finished it just because I forced myself to fulfill my personal goal of reading at least one book a week.
The last 20% of the book was very good. I'm of the opinion that it shouldn't have taken that long, nor that many pages, to do everything they did. It is a book that could easily have been shortened and made more enjoyable, and even more so with its final chapters that are entertaining and quite magical.
Since I read the first two books I can recommend the saga, if you like Fantasy and Enemies to lovers, if you don't like the genre, pass on it. I'm already anxious to read the third book because I want to see how Poppy develops in her new role, I expect more magic and many more struggles of one of our great heroines.
! [Spanish] La verdad es que se me hizo muy pesado leerlo y no porque fuera un libro muy rico en literatura, sino porque tanto relleno me aburría, así que me daba tedio leer. Me tomé una semana entera para leerlo y me lo terminé solo porque me obligué a cumplir mi meta personal de leer al menos un libro a la semana.
El último 20% del libro estuvo muy bueno. Opino que no debió tomar tanto tiempo, ni tantas páginas para hacer todo lo que hicieron. Es un libro que fácilmente pudo haberse reducido y ser más ameno, y aún más con sus capítulos finales que están bien entretenidos y bastante mágicos.Ya que me leí los dos primeros libros puedo recomendarles la saga, si les gusta la Fantasía y los Enemies to lovers, si no te agrada el género, pasa de él. Ya estoy ansiosa por leerme el tercer libro porque quiero ver cómo se desarrolla Poppy en su nuevo rol, espero más magia y muchas más luchas de una de nuestras grandes heroínas.
I have also learned that the saga will become a series and that Amazon Studios has already bought the rights to the books to bring this story to the small screen. Let's see how they do. Amazon has already producedThe Rings of Power (meh) and The Wheel of Time, the latter I liked quite a bit, and I'm already waiting for the second season.
I'd like to say more about the book, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for you by telling you everything I like and don't like. Read it and draw your own conclusions. I already have my next reading ready, and no, it's not the next book in the saga. I'm going to rest, I've already started two books, but one is very fat, so I'll read the shorter one first, and then I'll go with the longer one. Furthermore, I will review both of them here.
