He woke up feeling like a Snottysaurus
It was getting really cold outside, and the inside of his cave didn't seem to be much warmer.
Let's say that he hadn't mastered the art of making fire, yet.
Hypersensitivosaurus wished he had someone to cuddle up to, but dealing with the cold all by himself was the fate of a bachelor.
Had it been Summer, he would have taken a shower at a nearby waterfall, but at this time of year, the only option was a geiser or volcano shower, both pretty risky. And risky was an understatement.
Giant lizards might have been thick skinned, but not that thick skinned ( as you might remember from his confrontation with Mrs. Mosquito.
Also, volcanoes gave him a stuffed nose, headaches and all kinds of other flu related symptoms. And geisers smelled like rotten eggs.
They weren't the kind of places he wanted to be near of, on a day like this.
Some days it sucked to be coldblooded!
The situation sketched in the above reminds me of Cold Turkey, the poor bird that is bed ridden - after a freak accident - and later visited by Hypersensitivosaurus.
I was confused here. I just realized, that the creature was called 'Stuffed Turkey' there, as even Cold Turkey can have a cold and thus be even colder.
Without getting too much into detail, I am referring to my upcoming book here: Hypersensitivosaurus and Cold Turkey.
The little ( dino ) stories that I am sharing, and plan to share, in the upcoming days and possibly weeks are not just an attempt to get back into ( daily ) writing, they are mainly meant to get back to finishing my book.
Something that I have been delaying for quite a while now, without really knowing why
except that it's easier to give in to ressitance than to actually do the ( hard ) work
In case you missed it ( or in case you aren't cold enough yet ) and want to 'refresh' your memory, here is a sneak peak of my upcoming book and what inspired me to start writing it:
Cold Turkey on the Rocks - Shaken not Stirred
The drawing above, picturing 'Cold Turkey', started with watercolor pencils on paper and I guess that I added the high level cold effects in MS Paint. I drew this 9 months ago.
The picture of Snottosaurus, or a cold Hypersensitivosaurus, on top of this post, was painted by me - just now - with watercolor paint on paper. I added a so called 'Arctic' filter, for extra coldness, after transferring it to my laptop.
