Halo book worm...
After being a huge fan of the Harry Potter film series for years, I hadn't read the books. The main reason was that I felt no need to read the novels because I'd already finished the films and even rewatched them dozens of times. Furthermore, my financial situation at the time didn't allow me to buy imported books. The only Harry Potter book I owned was the sixth book for a college assignment, but I haven't read it yet. But later, I realized I needed all seven books. So, at the end of 2025, I bought the Harry Potter books one by one, and only had time to read them in early February.
So, this is my first adventure with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
Harry Potter, as we know, tells the story of a boy named Harry who survived an unforgivable curse inflicted by the Dark Lord, Lord Voldemort. He was only one year old when his parents died to save him. For 11 years, he was raised by his aunt, Petunia and Vernon Dursley. During that time, he didn't receive the affection he deserved, sleeping in the cupboard under the stairs and being used as an errand boy by his aunt and uncle. He also always received Dudley's old clothes—his cousin, who was fat and resembled his father. Until one day, Harry received a mysterious letter from an owl. The letter stated that Harry had been accepted into the wizarding school—Hogwarts...
Harry's aunt and uncle discussed the matter fearfully, then destroyed every letter that arrived that Harry hadn't read. They continued to move around until one night, a giant named Rubeus Hagrid came to their hideout and told Harry that he would be taken to Hogwarts. Harry couldn't believe he was a wizard. His parents were also wizards, but they didn't die as his aunt had told them—in a car accident.
With that, Harry Potter's adventure began. He made friends named Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger. Together, the three of them not only studied but also went on adventures that students their age didn't experience. At Hogwarts, Harry saw his mother and father for the first time through a mirror. He eventually learned that they didn't die in an accident, but because the Dark Lord wanted to kill him.
My Opinion:
In the first book, Harry Potter didn't differ much from the film. Almost every scene in the book was visualized in the film—even the deleted scenes. There were no differences. That's what made me fall even more in love with this story because I could easily imagine what happened in the book. I have no negative comments, just the news that I was able to read this 300-page book in just a few days. That's a new record for me.
It turns out... I'm falling even more in love with the Harry Potter series.
So, do you have something Harry Potter to discuss? Let's talk about it, because even after almost two decades, talking about Harry Potter is always exciting.
I rate this book with 5 from 5 star, Lovely!
Hasta La Vista...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
