As a fan of mystery, crime, and investigation genres, I feel that my reading is still lacking. I just published an investigative mystery novel titled ‘Baruna’ a few years ago, but I didn’t get many reading references from crime novelists like Agatha Christie. I have long wanted to try her legendary novels, but haven’t had the chance. Since the existence of a free reading application from the National Library, I have had that opportunity. Surprisingly, there are many Agatha Christie book titles that I can read for free, one of which is titled The Seven Dials Mystery. Some time before finding it, I saw Agatha Christie books with beautiful covers in offline bookstores. And now I can read it on my tab.
The reason I chose The Seven Dials Mystery as my first Agatha Christie book is because many Agatha Christie books have long queues. So I randomly chose which book didn’t have a queue and that was the book titled The Seven Dials Mystery.
Let’s get it.
The Seven Dials Mystery tells the story of Gery Wade's sudden death at the Chimneys Inn. The day before, Jimmy Thesiger and his friends bought 8 beakers to prank Gery because he often woke up late. But the joke became very dark when Gery was found dead in his room. Jimmy Thesiger and Ronny Devereux announced the death to Gery Wade's half-sister.
On the other hand, there was a girl named Bundle who suddenly found a letter from Gery Wade written the day before he died. This proved that there was something odd about Gery's death. On another day, when Bundle was driving, she accidentally hit a man who gave her a message. That person was Ronny Devereux who gave her the will 'The Seven Dials'. From here Bundle met Jimmy Thesiger about Ronny's last message. There she met Loraine Wade, the half-sister of Gerry Wade. With Bundle's story, the three of them investigated the mystery of the mafia group The Seven Dials themselves.
The First Impression
As people say about Agatha Christie's works, unpredictable. No one can guess who the perpetrator is. While I was reading this book, I kept getting suspicious from everyone, except Bundle—of course. So I only read this book 4 times in a row. Because of my curiosity, I didn't want to postpone this. I even left John Green's book for the mystery of Gerry Wade's murderer. I heard, this book is a sequel to another book called something Chimneys.
Agatha Christie has a very unique writing style considering this is a mystery story. There are no difficult words to translate, she chooses simple words for a complicated plot. So I enjoyed every chapter in this book.
What's more interesting is that he created many characters but each character doesn't have a similar personality. I imagine how detailed he is in building and creating each of his characters. It seems that this is one of the factors why his works are world-famous.
I rate this book with 4.5 from 5 start; Addicted!
Have you read this book? What do you think?

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
