Halo book worm...
One day I saw a book event with a senior writer—this is not derogatory, older in terms of age, named Djokokelono. I was interested in finding out about this Pak—or Grandpa Djokokelono because at his old age he was still actively writing. I thought, surely he is a writer who has had a long career in the literary world, like Pramoedya, so I searched for his biography on the internet. Yes, he is an active writer and the book that caught my attention was a series of mystery children's books. I wanted to read one of his works to decide whether his works would be my next read? So I bought a book by Tifa Tua. This book was cheaper than the others so I bought it. This mystery children's book would be a variation of my reading. I wanted a slightly lighter read.
So lemme tell you the story of Tifa Tua (The Old Tifa)
Tifa Tua
Adi and Ardha are best friends. Adi is of Indonesian descent, while Ardha is of mixed Indonesian and Dutch descent. Both children are in their final year of elementary school. One day, Adi stopped by Ardha's house due to heavy rain, and he invited him to tour a warehouse filled with museum items. The items were historical artifacts from Papua. Of all the items, Adi was intrigued by the Tifa—a traditional Papuan musical instrument similar to a drum but smaller and can be held by hand.
Adi and Ardha then played the Tifa, which unexpectedly transported them to the past. They hid and overheard the conversation of two Dutchmen planning an expedition to Papua. Upon returning to the present, Adi and Ardha were confused by what they had experienced. They continued doing the same thing—playing the drum and dancing—until they returned to the past, which turned out to be history.
As I said before, I was drawn to this book because I expected it to be very light and have an interesting storyline because it's a children's story. I was right, the storyline is interesting, the author's writing style is also comfortable, but I think this story—besides being brilliant, I doubt it can be considered light for children, because it tells a history. But let's just say that. This story gave me new insights, as I previously knew nothing about Papua. I had no idea that everything in Papua was being targeted by many countries.
Besides telling the story, this book also provides insight into Tifa herself—which I initially thought was a little girl's name. This book is part of the Weird & Wicked Series. After this, I want to read the other versions and pass it down to my niece when she can read.
I rate this book with 5 from 5 star, excellent!
At the end I give this book 3 star from 5 star: Cheerful...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
