Just like Home Sweet Loan, which I got from the mini library in the MRT, I also got this book from the same station. After I returned Home Sweet Loan, I found this book also interesting to read. The title is about Tokyo, and coincidentally, I am in process of writing a novel with Japan as the main setting. So, I think this novel can teach me something good about Japan. So here, To Tokyo To Love by Mariskova accompanies me this week.
Let's get it!
To Tokyo To Love
.
To Tokyo To Love tells the story of an Indonesian girl named Nina, who lives in Japan for work and her Master's program. She deliberately left her country after experiencing a devastating heartbreak. Her fiancé, Ian, was caught impregnating his ex-girlfriend, which derailed their wedding plans. Ian was forced to marry his ex-girlfriend, Karina, as proof of his responsibility. Unwilling to be implicated, Nina agreed to her boss's recommendation to work in the Japanese office.
Even though she's no longer in Jakarta, Nina is constantly haunted by Ian, from the fond memories to the fact that he still doesn't want to let her go. Ian insists on returning to Nina and divorcing Karina. Of course, this doesn't calm Nina down. Ian continues to terrorize everyone at Nina's old office to get Nina's address in Japan. And surprisingly, Ian manages to find Nina's address. Nina's life becomes even more difficult. But who would have thought, amidst her confusion, that she has a virtual friend named Takung. They often exchange stories and comfort each other. Not to mention the Men in Black, which always makes Nina's heart race every time she sees them.
This is my first time reading a book by Mariskova, who has apparently published frequently. Mariskova's "To Tokyo To Love" has a curious beginning, focusing on the past of Nina—the main character. Her storytelling style is neither slow nor rushed. I enjoyed the moments when Takung and Nina exchanged stories, imagining how exciting it would be to have a virtual friend to share them with. I felt like I wanted to marry Takung, but he was just a fictional.
This novel was quite entertaining, although it took me a long time to read it, unlike the previous book, which took only a week.
I rate this book with 3 from 5 start; entertaining!
Have you read this book? What do you think?
Thanks in advance, to read my blog and hope you like my post!

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
