Hello Book Lovers!
I'm excited to share my April TBR (To Be Read) with you guys. I usually like deciding what books I'll be reading for the month so that I get a mix of books and not end up reading just the same genre. And it also helps me plan out my reading accordingly.
Primarily, I read fantasy and thriller books but this month I thought I could add a contemporary and fun romance book as well.
The Turn Of The Key
By Ruth Ware
Genre: Psychological Thriller, Mystery
Page Count: 368 pages
The Turn of the Key is a psychological thriller about a young woman named Rowan Caine. She takes a nanny job for this rich, high-class couple at a beautiful, remote house in the Scottish Highlands. The job seems perfect—high salary, lovely kids, and a stunning location. But soon, strange things start happening.
The house is full of technology, but at night, it behaves strangely—lights turn on by themselves, mysterious sounds from the attic, and the children act oddly. Rowan feels like someone is watching her. As time passes, things get worse, and then a child dies.
The story is told through letters Rowan writes to a lawyer from prison, trying to explain she is innocent. She admits she made mistakes but insists she didn’t kill anyone. The book keeps readers guessing—who is responsible? Is the house haunted, or is someone playing tricks?
Why I picked this up?
I'm a sucker for psychological thrillers and Ruth Ware is one of my favourite authors in this genre. So my goal is to read all of her books, atleast the ones that call to me.Humble Pi: A Comedy of Math Errors
By Matt Parker
Genre: Non-fiction, Humor, Science
Page Count: 336 pages
Humble Pi is a fun and interesting book about real-life math mistakes. Instead of boring equations, it tells true stories of times when bad math caused big problems.
The book covers many different errors: bridges collapsing, planes crashing, companies losing millions, and even space missions failing, all because of small math mistakes. Parker explains why these errors happened and how math is important in everyday life.
Even though it talks about serious topics, the book is written in a funny and easy-to-understand way. Parker, who is a comedian and math expert, makes numbers entertaining. He uses humor to show how math is everywhere and why we should be careful with it.

Colleen Hoover is a hit or miss kind of author for me and it's been a while since I read something by her. My friend got this book for me and although I'm skeptical that I will not enjoy it much, I'm obliged to give it a try.Bloodguard
