I'm glad you commented as another person on the ground here.
Your situation is good, WFH and all however you make some good points.
I'm in a situation where my income is strong and I have no debt although it's still a concern. You mention insulin, I am 100% reliant upon it and the various items needed to deliver it and if I can't get them...yep, I'll expire.
I believe the smart people are making changes to mitigate the cost financially and generally; the even smarter people (me for instance) have been doing that for a long time and have worked themselves into a position that buffers the impact somewhat.
Transport costs and lack of transport is the killer here. Three days of trucks not moving and there's nothing in the supermarkets. And yet, people are almost oblivious and skeptical that that will/could happen. I'm like, hey dum dum, remember 2020?
People are so fucken stupid.
I'm glad your situation is insulated to some degree, keep doing what's required to extend that condition.
