Poland Bans Almost All Abortions 🚫

Poland is notorious for having some of the strictest abortion laws in Europe, and now the nation's top court has further tightened the laws by making it illegal to end a pregnancy due to fetal defects. The Constitutional Tribunal made a ruling that equates to an almost complete ban on abortions. Once the decision comes into effect, ending pregnancies will only be allowed in very the worst cases. Following the court ruling, hundreds of protesters marched toward the house of governing party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski, with some carried candles and signs. The Warsaw Police stated on Twitter that it met the protesters with pepper spray and physical force after some threw stones and tried to push through the barriers surronding the home.
