Lately, in the world there are many things that are not good, but I hope that those of you who read my content this time are always given protection and happiness in living day to day.
Yesterday, I made a 3speak video showing that I bought some silicone molds that I bought online at a low price, you can check here.
So, I tried some small experiments to make a simple art cake. In Indonesia it is called Layer Cake Pepe, made from several ingredients and a little coloring. I use food coloring which is safe for consumption and certainly easy to obtain. I use Koepoe Koepoe brand food coloring which has guaranteed quality.
This floral layer cake has gone through a lot of trial and error that I've been through, this is a recipe that finally suits my taste, of course this recipe is easy to try. So let me fail, you guys got the best recipe from me!

Floral Layer Cakes
Ingredients:
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 100 gr tapioca flour
- 50 gr wheat flour
- 125 gr sugar
- Pinch of vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- Koepoe Koepoe brand food coloring
How to make Floral Layer Cake
- Mix coconut milk with sugar, then cook until the sugar is completely dissolved. Cool the coconut milk for about 30 minutes.
- Mix tapioca flour and flour, then slowly pour in the coconut milk. Mix until completely mixed.
- Add vanilla and salt. Mix well.
- Divide the dough into several parts, according to the desired color. Then mix in with food coloring, I use 1 drop of coloring for each dough.
- Spread a thin silicone mold with vegetable oil, then slowly enter the dough into the silicone mold. This is the tricky part, so adjust your taste and skill to steam it. Each color per dough takes 3 minutes to steam, then on the last layer, steam for 5-7 minutes.
- Then after it is cooked, let the dough stand until it is completely cold, open the dough slowly from the silicone mold so it doesn't crumble.
- Floral layer cake is ready to be served!
Tips for making this floral layer cake is a special skill to create beautiful color compositions in mix and match. It takes a long time to cool the dough so it doesn't crumble easily, it can be minimized by putting the dough in the refrigerator to cool quickly.
