Is it wise to follow instructions?
i think it depends in what the instructions are for, who they come from and what is the purpose.
Instructions from Governments and Corrupt Centralised organisations (ie. most centralized orgs) should probably mostly be ignored, perhaps doing the opposite as they are often for violent, nefarious purposes to the detriment of humanity.
What about Recipes?
i think recipes are best used as a guide. i rarely consult recipes when i am preparing food although i do find inspiration from recipes i read in the Plant Power (Vegan) Community.
Following them to the letter however can stifle our #creativity. i rarely weigh or measure the ingredients if i am preparing food, although if i plan to post a recipe i sometimes do as i have been asked to do so sometimes by .
However, today i did not do so and didn't take pictures until i was finished.
After lunch i decided to make some desert. With an abundance of #blackberries in the #hivegarden i thought i would use them for these cakes. i don't recall using blackberries before in cakes, and actually i'm quite a beginner at making cakes.
i do buy apple pies and other cakes from the shops occasionally but it's difficult to find #vegan cakes or deserts as the corrupt food industries like us to be violent to our bodies and to animals (which goes hand in hand when we consume animal products). But don't take my word for it (as if you would ;-).
You might think i'm preaching here, but this is not my intention, it's simply to share information you may or may not be aware of so you are able to make informed decisions and do what you think is best.

Ok, enough of that, back to the recipe.
Vegan Cup Cakes Recipe Guide
Ingredients and approx. quantities
- 4 - 5 cups Chick Pea flour
- 1 cup wholegrain organic Spelt flour
- 1 cup soaked raisins
- 1 tablespoon soaked chia seeds
- 75 grams dark chocolate chips
- 3 cups fresh (or defrosted frozen) blackberries.
- 1 rounded teaspoon green leaf Stevia powder (not sold in shops 'cos it's good for you, buy online)
- 1 heaped teaspoon of 100% Bicarbonate of soda (don't use toxic Baking Powder unless you want Dementia)
- Water or plant based milk as required
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive or coconut oil (or leave it out - i forgot today & cakes turned out just fine)
Note, i did not measure above ingredients these are approximate, use your intuition, be creative, swap ingredients you don't have for something else, Be Brave :-)
Instruction GUIDE
- Add flour, stevia, bicarb to large bowl and mix well with a fork.
- Add chocolate chips, soaked raisins & chia seeds, mix again.
- Add water or plant based milk a little at a time as you mix until you get a gooey consistency, not runny.
- Add blackberries, folding the mixture over them carefully with a large spoon so as not to crush the blackberries.
- Again with a large spoon scoop a cupcake sized dollop from the bowl and add to baking tin mold or paper cake molds on a baking tray, scraping the mixture off the big spoon with a small one.
- Add cakes to a preheated oven at 160°c for about 15-20 minutes.
- Check (after max. 15 mins) to see if cooked by poking a fork in one. Fork will come out clean if cooked. Don't be King Alfred (or was it Arthur) and burn them!
- When ready, remove from oven and ease from mold with a plastic spoon so as not to scratch any non stick coating on the tin. Best not to use non-stick pans unless you have a death wish (especially if cooking at higher temperature & with oil).
The Matrix-8 Solution could have prevented this if it were available.
- Place cooked cakes upside down on a wire grid or oven shelf to cool. Best to eat one hot though, but don't burn your tongue!
- Scrape any leftover from the tin (with platic spoon) and save for another use (or just eat them). i will add some vegan coconut yoghurt (NOT Soya).
These cakes turned out very well, surprisingly light and just the right sweetness (not too sweet) for me :-)
Super Delicicious and eaten with a cup of my version of Bulletproof coffee.
Well, that's all folks. Hope you enjoyed reading & learned something new.
Please let me know what you think about what i have spoken of in comments below.
