Namaste. A quick post, mostly pictures.
i usually use a bread machine to make bread, but there isn't one here at Mum's. No recipe, just making it up as i go along.
i bought Spelt flour over a week ago, and got a #sourdoughstarter going 3 days ago. Just flour and water, mixing, keeping it covered, adding a little more flour and water each day and stirring (with plastic or wooden spoon, not metal).
Yesterday the starter was bubbling nicely so i began.
Approx. 350g wholegrain spelt flour
Added approx. 130g of the sourdough starter
Added to bowl along with approx.
5g Himalayan salt
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
A few twists of black pepper
1 teaspoon #fennugreek
1/4 teaspoon greenleaf #stevia powder
Added approx.
230 ml #distilledwater (review coming soon of my new water distiller machine)
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
Mixed and kneaded well for a few minutes.
Placed in a bowl, covered, put in warm place overnight to allow it to rise.
Added to preheated oven (fan oven, 200°c) for about 20 minutes.
Voila!
It's Spelt wholegrain so i didn't expect it to rise much, but for sure it'll be tasty and healthy, #glutenfree and #vegan.
For now it's on the rack to cool.
