
I haven't been back to Indonesia for a long time, it make me miss the tradisional Indonesian beverage, that called “Colorful Bubur Candil". The porridge is combination of sweet potato balls and soft tapioca flour is perfect for any occasion. The chewy taste combined with Palm sugar is perfect for iftar.

Steamed Sweet potato
After fasting of a day, we need to eat something sweetess, "Colorful Bubur Candil Sweet Potato" can be used as one of the menu choices for breaking the fast. Apart from being consumed by ourselves, Candil porridge in our area can also be sold, as an income.
Let's follow my journey Ist making Candil Porridge!!

Material that we need
• 250 orange sweet potatoes (weight after steaming)
• 100 grams of tapioca
• 2 pandan leaves
• 1000 ml of water
• 4 tablespoons of rice flour, dilute the water
• 1 teaspoon pandan paste (Green color)
• 1 teaspoon pineapple paste (Yellow color)
• 1 teaspoon strawberry paste (red color)

Coconut milk
• 400 ml medium thin coconut milk
• 1 pandan leaf
• A pinch of vanilla
• A pinch of salt

Step 1: Smash sweet potato until soft

Step 2: Spreated and coloring the butter with Green, yellow and red color

Boil colorful balls until cooked
Steps for making colorful sweet potatos Balls
• Steamed orange sweet potato, while hot puree. Add salt and tapioca until soft.
• Divide the dough into 3. To be colored green, red and yellow
• Shape the dough round like marbles. Don't be too big, it will be difficult to cook
• Boil 1000 ml of water
• Boil the dough together. Wait until it floats
• Lift the colorful balls and set them aside.

Steps to cook coconut milk
• Cook 200 ml of water
• Enter palm sugar according to taste
• Add pandan leaves
• Add salt and vanilla to taste
• Add coconut milk
• Enter the rice flour dough
• Stir until it forms bubbles
• Turn off the stove

Serving method
• Arrange colorful candil balls nicely
• Add coconut milk
• Colorful Candil Porridge is ready to be served

This is the first time I make this Candil porridge recipe, when I feel everything is successful. Both the texture of the balls are soft and chewy, also the coconut milk liquid and the sweet, savory, fragrant pandan. Adds the delicious taste of colorful candil porridge.
