Hello, Hivers world, we Indians are very fond of eating potatoes, but not like the Western style we have our way of making them spicy, mixing them with other vegetables, using them as filling, and making different breads, and pancakes. Today here is a simple way of making potatoes. this recipe is usual and made for festivals. We don't use onion and garlic for festival food. These potatoes can be served for breakfast of course-together with breads, chapati, and savory pancake(Dosa). and for lunch together with rice, Puris, or as a side dish.
ingredients:
3 Boiled and peeled potatoes
2 cm fresh ginger chopped
1 green chili cut in pieces.
10 curi leaves
2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
2 tbsp grated fresh coconut
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp urad dal black spilt lentils
1 tbsp peanut oil
1/2 tsp salt for taste
1/4 turmeric
Heat oil in a pan
After the oil gets warm add curi leaves, ginger, green chili, mustard and cumin seeds, and urad dal.
Just crush potatoes and sprinkle salt.
Then turmeric.
Pour potatoes together with coconut and coriander into the roasted
spices and lentils.
Blend it thoroughly until all spices, potatoes, coconut, and coriander are mixed nicely.
And here potatoes are ready that I made during my Indian stay for one festival time.
Easy and simple with some different tastes.
