Good morning to all hive friends, how are you? I hope you are fine. Today, I have come up with a delicious recipe to share with you. I am happy to share the process of preparing "Lavaria," a traditional dish perfect for the tea table.
This dish can be made with very few ingredients and can be enjoyed by both family and guests. Among the many Sri Lankan delicacies, "Lavaria" holds a special place in our hearts. Prepared at home without any artificial flavoring, it is a nutritious dish that can be eaten without harming the body.
So let's see how to prepare this delicious dish.

Required Ingredients...
š 1 cup of grated Coconut.
š 1/2 cup of sugar.
š 1 1/2 cup of String Hoppers flour.
š A pinch of salt.
š some hot water.
š some water.
Method of making......
First, to prepare the sugar caramel, add some sugar to the pot and put it on the stove and let it caramelize.
Next, add some hot water to it again and mix. Add the rest of the sugar again and after it becomes caramelized. Add the grated coconut to the sugar caramel. Mix it well and remove from heat after 2 minutes.
Then take the String Hoppers flour and put it in a bowl. Add required amount of salt to it. Add water and mix well. Prepare it as a dough.
Next, use a String Hoppers maker and put some of the flour dough in it and roll it on a banana leaf cut into a circular shape with a width of about 6 trenches as shown below.
Next, add some sugar and coconut mixture to it, hold it with a banana leaf, fold it in two, steam it for about 5 minutes, remove it from the boiling stove and prepare the lavaria.
So in this way the "Lavaria" is prepared and finished. "Lavaria" is a nutritious dish free from artificial sweeteners and loved by family and guests. Enjoy this delicious treat with a cup of tea! See you again with a new dish.
