Now I want to execute my cooking and indeed this is a simple dish made from tofu. Usually I only process tofu by frying it and make it a side dish to eat by processing it into a dish with a spicy taste, but today I want to process it into a snack that is not too spicy and I adjust it to my taste. And I call it 'tofu bowl with carrots'
To make Tofu bowls with carrots, I have to provide the following ingredients:
- 10 pieces of white tofu
The tofu I use is ordinary Chinese tofu and has no taste so it is very easy to make into whatever you want - ¼ tablespoon salt
The amount of salt depends on your taste. If you feel that the mixture is not salty enough, you can add more according to your wishes - Celery leaves
I used 1 stalk of celery because that's all I had left in the fridge, if you want to add one more stalk of celery, no problem, the mixture will be much more aromatic. - 2 – 3 carrots
The number of carrots can be adjusted to your liking or can be replaced with other ingredients - Wheat flour
In this dough I used 5 tablespoons of wheat flour as a measure so that the original taste of the tofu is not lost. - Cornstarch
And I used ½ tablespoon of cornstarch so that my tofu wouldn't be too tough later - Shallots
In this recipe I use 2-3 cloves of shallots - Garlic
I used 2 cloves of garlic and if you want to use more then it's no problem. - White pepper powder
I only use enough pepper so it's not too spicy.
The steps for making this tofu bowl filled with carrots are:
1. Mash the tofu using a spoon
2. Once smooth, add the ingredients that are available and it's up to you what steps you want first.
3. And I chose to add the salt first, after that I added the ground spices consisting of shallots and garlic
4. After adding the ground spices, don't forget to add the white pepper, stir briefly and the next step is
5. Cut the carrots and celery leaves, which have been washed first, then put them into the tofu container. Next, add the various types of flour that I have explained above.
6. Stir all the mixture until smooth and add water little by little so that the dough is not too hard and the flour is evenly distributed with the tofu.
7. After the mixture was all mixed evenly, I put the mixture into the mold that I had, but when it was finished I felt like it just looked like tofu balls.
8. After all the dough was finished molding, I fried it in hot oil and set the fire to medium heat.
9. Fry until the tofu is brownish
10. After that, lift and drain.
11. Tofu with carrots is done and I'll try it while it's hot.
