Today I'm popped up here with one of the most healthiest recipe made by some lentil mix called daal fry in the clay pot.
Typically we made this lentil based curry (mix daal fry) in the pressure cooker . But if we have time and want to make this more delicious and healthy we can make it in the clay pot.
I know this recipe need some patience but trust me you will amazed with the result. Today i present you that details recipe.

We can make lentil based curry with one type of lentil. Or we can make it with some mix lentils. Whenever i made daal fry to enjoy with rice i prefer this mix lentil daal. To make this i mixed 5 types of lentil: moong dal , chana dal, masoor dal, black udad dal and toor dal. Mix all in same quantity or you can asd moong dal more compare to other lentils.
To make this daal fry simply cooked the lentils, then seasoning with garlic , onion , tomato and some spices. Enjoy it with chapati, naan or rice.

INGREDIENTS ā
- Mix lentils 1 bowl
- Onion 2
- Tomato 1
- Green chilli 2
- Garlic 5-6 cloves
- Ginger 1/5 inch
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp.
- Hing
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder 2+1 tsp
- Garam masala 1 tsp (optional)
PROCESS ā
Step 1 :
First wash the lentils properly with the water and soaked it for 2-3 hours. You can also soaked it more time to cooked it easily and less time.

After 2-3 hours strain all water and wash one time again.

Step 2 :
Now took a clay pot, add water and boil the water. When water starts to boil add soaked lentil and mix well.

After 5 minutes add salt and turmeric powder.
Now cooked it with lots of patience and stir occasionally.

It took almost 1 hour to cook. Or sometimes more. In above picture you can see how lentil looks when it cooked.
Now help with the churner mash it well and you can see it become smooth and best come up with best texture.
The water quantity you can adjust according you.

Step 3 :
Now we have to make tadka (seasoning).
First finely chopped all vegetables. You can chopped in the chopper. But this time i just roughly chopped all.

Now in a small kadai or fryer pan add 1-2 tbsp oil, heat the oil and add cumin seeds. Than add hing. You can also add curry leaves and dry chilli to make it more favourable. Than saute the garlic, add onion , tomato, green chilli one by one , saute all for 2-3 minutes add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala and little water.

Now pour this tadka in your cooked lentil mixed and cover it.

Your lentil based curry or daal fry is ready to enjoy.

Enjoy it with rice , chapati or naan. This time i enjoyed it with rice and aloo sabji. This is my favourite combo.
