Melon stew garnish with scent leaf serve with white rice

Greetings to everyone here, how are you all doing I hope you all are doing wonderfully well.
When it comes to cooking our mothers know how to cook local dishes more than we the new generations.
Thinking on what to cook my mother in-law told me that she is carving for white rice with melon stew.
My first hearing this talk more of cooking but I have to obey and ask her to direct me on how to cook it so she did.

After cooking my melon stew my mother in-law was not disappointed by me I give it to her exactly the way she wants it and the way she taught me.
This melon stew is one of the best I never knew that melon can be this good as stew I only know melon for cooking soup all thanks to my mother in-law for teaching me this and she is very happy I gave her want she want.
So when my husband came back I serve him the remaining rice he was surprise that I made this tempting stew and he ate to his satisfaction.

INGREDIENTS USED
1/2 cup of melon
3 cups of rice
1 bunch of Scent leaf
5 piece of fresh Pepper
Salt to taste
1 medium Onion
1/4 cup of red oil
Water.

PROCEDURE
I will explain step by step on how I prepare my melon stew.

STEP 1
I will first wash and slice my onions, my scent leaf and my pepper and set aside.

STEP 2
In a clean and dry pot I will now put my red oil allow to hot I will now put my ingredients.

STEP 3
I will put salt, slice onions and my melon I will now stir.

STEP 4
I will now stir very well and now add water, put pepper and scent leaf.

Here is the result.

I will now go to my rice.

STEP 1
I will put my rice into my pot add water and cook.
I will cook for some minutes I will now bring it down and wash.

STEP 2
After washing I will now put it back into my pot add water and cook.

STEP 3
After some minutes my rice is done.

Here is the final result.

Looking at this dish is very simple and tempting the taste is topnotch am glad I made my mother in-law happy by cooking what she is carving for.
