Enjoying the weekend with a cold drink rich in vitamins, is one of the best ways to lift your spirits after the hard days that have been before
The busyness of the last few weeks has been quite tired, how not a few days ago my mother's house experienced a flood, which was caused by overflowing river water not far from her house. The flood that reached 2 meters was very disturbing, actually every year floods in my area always happen this makes us very uncomfortable there, but what can I do for my family to only have a place to live there, it is very difficult to leave that place. Because the flood made me visit his house a few days ago and it really kept me busy with a fairly long trip. So that makes me very tired, and difficult to divide the time to greet you here.
Carrot Boba Drink
Coming home from my mother's house, my body was quite tired, so I didn't cook all day. But today I want a drink that is healthy and fresh, after looking at some drink menu references, carrot boba is the right choice this time, why not carrots are the raw material that is always available. Making carrots into a drink that can help stabilize the taste on the tongue is what I hoped for this time. Moreover, serving it with vegetable milk which is rich in vitamins, so if you are curious, let's start making carrot boba drinks.
Materials Used
2 carrot
150 grams tapioca flour
50 grams of wheat flour
Corn flour to taste
1 liter thick coconut milk
1 teaspoon vanilla powder
food coloring
50 grams of sugar
Preparatory Steps
Step 1
My first step will be to prepare the boba in advance, by preparing carrot juice first. Peel the carrot skin, and cut into small pieces, then blend until smooth, after in the blender strain the carrots and take the starch from the carrots only.
Step 2
Then prepare the flour, mix the two flours and stir the flour until smooth.
Step 3
Then, cook the carrot juice, add a teaspoon of granulated sugar, then stir and cook until the juice boils. After boiling add half of the flour that has been mixed earlier.
Step 4
Then, after stir in the flour, cook until thickened, then cook over medium heat using a non-stick frying pan to make it easier.
Step 5
After thickening, remove the dough and mix it with the remaining flour, then knead the flour until it is completely smooth. Now for this manufacturing process, knead as well as possible, so that the texture is perfect, then sprinkle cornstarch on top of the dough.
Step 6
After the dough is finished, form a round dough like a small ball, do it until it's finished, this process really requires patience because I made it manually. At the time of the small round do not forget to sprinkle with cornstarch so as not to stick to each other.
Step 7
After everything is ready to be shaped, boil the dough in boiling water for about 20 minutes, when boiling don't forget to stir occasionally. Once cooked then lift and then drain.
Step 8
Next, I will make syrup for the boba, I start adding sugar, add 1 cup of water, then add 2 drops of food coloring then add 1 pandan leaf.
Step 9
After everything is mixed, cook until it boils and the water shrinks then add the boiled boba. And then cook again for about 10 minutes.
Step 10
After the boba is done, it's time for me to make vegetable milk, which is a preparation of cooked thick coconut milk, the step is to add 1 liter of thick coconut milk, then add vanilla powder and mix well, cook until the coconut milk boils.
Serving Suggestions
Now for serving, this recipe can make 3 servings of jumbo size boba. I serve boba in a large glass, by adding 2 spoons of boba to the glass, then add ice cubes, then pour coconut milk until the glass is full, carrot boba is ready to be enjoyed.
Now for the milk you use, you can substitute any milk because the carrot boba will also be very delicious with any type of vegetable milk. As for the taste, it is very delicious, slightly sweet, which in my opinion is very suitable for my tongue, with a touch of yellow syrup, it will add an elegant impression to the carrot boba. The soft, chewy boba texture is not inferior to the boba sold in coffee shops. I think this is a healthy boba drink that you should try at home.
