Rujak salaka Plik is a rujak that is very popular among the people in our village, so this afternoon I bought 1 kilogram of salak and I also bought 1/2 kilogram of Plik or what is usually called batarana, batarana is made from rotten coconuts for several days then dried in the hot sun, then squeezed until all the coconut oil comes out, and the coconut dregs are what are used as batarana, in our area batarana is very popular because besides being able to be made into rujak to dip with fruit, batarana can also be cooked with vegetables which we usually call kuah Plik
In the previous post, I also shared a post about how to cook the plik sauce, but this time I will only share my experience of eating snake fruit with Plik, in the Plik I have seasoned it with salt, granulated sugar and cayenne pepper to add to the deliciousness of this batarana.
Is there a batarana in your area or do you not know about this batarana at all, hehee okay here I will share my experience of enjoying batarana with salak fruit, actually this batarana is not only delicious when eaten with salak fruit, there is another fruit that is very delicious when dipped in this Plik, want to know what fruit it is, if not sapodilla. but not ripe sapodilla, but unripe sapodilla
Just like sapodilla, for salak fruit, don't look for sweet salak fruit, but look for salak fruit that is slightly tart, regular salak, not salak pondok. Because if salak pondok is usually sweet, it won't taste good if eaten with this Plik.
Are you curious about how I make this Plik salak? Just follow the steps that I will share in this post.
Materials used
6 snake fruit
200 grams of Plik
6 bird's eye chilies
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
First
First, I opened the skin of the salak fruit, I opened it all, then I removed the skin, then after that I sliced the salak fruit flesh thinly so that it would be easier for us to enjoy it later.
Second
Meanwhile, for the spices, I first grind the sugar, salt and chili, then after that I add the payment and grind it until it is evenly mixed and a little smooth.
RESULTS
When enjoying it, just take the thinly sliced salak meat and eat it together with the seasoned Plik. The slightly astringent taste of the salak becomes delicious and tasty because it is combined with the salak plik.
This is how I enjoy the slightly tart salak, in this way the salak becomes very delicious immediately, making us able to finish 1 kilo of salak in one sitting, very delicious, isn't it?
So, if you have salak at home, immediately make rujak seasoning like this, I guarantee you will definitely like it.
Thank you 🙂🤗
