This round and thin cake is very delicious, savory and spicy, at first glance it looks like potato cakes, but who would have thought that this cake is not a cake made from potatoes, but rather a cake made from steamed cassava, it turns out that there are many snack creations that we can make from cassava, one of which is this spicy cake cake, some also call it cassava cake cake, but there are also those who call it spicy fried cassava cake as I often mention
This snack is the most popular among the people in my area, even in traditional markets there are many who sell it, but if you buy the cake it is very spicy, maybe there are a lot of chilies, if I make it myself at home, we can adjust the level of spiciness ourselves, I deliberately made it not too spicy, because my child also likes this snack
If I make it spicy, of course my child won't be able to enjoy it, but if this snack doesn't taste a little spicy, of course it won't be delicious, because this snack is indeed a typical spicy, savory, salty snack.
That's why I only added one cayenne pepper, so it won't be too spicy, so my only child can enjoy it.
Okay, well, if anyone is curious about how I make this slightly spicy snack, just follow the steps that I will share in my post today.
Materials used
5 tablespoons tapioca flour
1 red chili pepper
2 large red chilies
1 clove garlic
1 clove shallot
Manufacturing procedure
First, I washed the potatoes clean and boiled them in clean water until the potatoes were soft.
After the potatoes were soft, I mashed the potatoes using a pestle until the potatoes were smooth, and I also added tapioca flour and kneaded it until it was evenly mixed.
Next, I blended the chilies and onions until smooth, then I added the mushroom stock and salt into the dough. I kneaded it until the dough could be shaped, then I formed the dough into balls.
After the dough is shaped, I fry it until it is golden brown.
RESULTS
and here it is, my spicy fried cassava cake is ready, ready to be served on the dining table and we can enjoy it together, it is very delicious as a snack and also
delicious as a side dish for rice,
When I first bit into it, it tasted delicious and very soft. The cassava was soft and a bit spicy, but my child could still eat it. He ate it with rice, while I ate it without rice. Basically, I highly recommend this cassava snack, it's incredibly delicious.
