The month of fasting has arrived and thank God I am still given health. And on the first day of fasting, I wanted my body to adapt quickly because of my busy daily activities. In my city, fasting lasts for 13 hours from 05.00 in the morning until 18.45 at night. And to restore lost energy after one day of fasting, I want to make green bean porridge as my protein source. I will share this green bean porridge recipe with all of you in this community.
The ingredients I need to make this simple food are:
1. 250 grams of green beans (this can make 4 portions of porridge)
2. 100 grams of palm sugar
3. 200 ML soy milk (you can skip this ingredient to replace it with coconut milk or without these two ingredients at all, but all of them have an impact on the fat taste of the porridge you make. Moreover, if you use thick coconut milk in this recipe, the resulting porridge will taste even fatter.)
4. 500 ML water (this water is used to boil the green beans)
5. 2 pandan leaves.
And now let's try making this green bean powder.
The first step I took was to soak the green beans in water and the amount of water is up to you, the important thing is that all the green bean seeds are soaked. Soak the green beans for approximately 2 – 3 hours so that the process of boiling the green beans doesn't take too long.
The second step after the soaking process is to discard the water the green beans were soaked in, then rinse the green beans again and drain. After that, put the soaked green bean seeds into a pan and pour 500 ML of clean water into it and boil the green beans for approximately 10 minutes until the green bean seeds are really soft or have split into two.
The third step is after the green beans are soft, add pandan leaves into it to release the fragrant aroma
The fourth step after the green beans are soft is to add the palm sugar. After the palm sugar has melted and you have corrected the taste.
The next step is that you can put the soy milk into the porridge all at once or you can also mix it as soon as you want to eat it, then mix the soy milk into it. All are equally delicious and the taste will not change, but it all depends on existing habits.
The green bean porridge has finished enjoying. You can eat it while it's hot or you can also wait for the porridge to cool and put it in the refrigerator and enjoy it cold. Everything is allowed here. However, because I consumed it in the afternoon and my stomach had been empty for 13 hours, I decided to eat this green bean porridge hot so that the lost energy could return.
