Hi all HIVE friends in this community, the recipe that I share with all my friends here is still inspired by my own wife, where she often makes food that is strange to me and seems beyond reason, but it turns out the taste is quite good, even though she I often make food that I try out myself from the social media pages that are floating around. and it was from this HIVE community that I started to learn a little about basic cooking techniques that I didn't understand at all before I joined this community. It's truly an honor for me to be able to try new recipes, even if it's just a simple dish that only comes from our simple kitchen.
And when I shared my recipe, I had seen my wife make this recipe but I forgot, so I asked her to direct me so that I could make this chocolate pudding according to my taste. The pudding that I want to make is a pudding with a texture that is not too hard and even tends to be soft, but based on my wife's experience, if the texture of the pudding is too soft then the pudding will not be perfect when released from the mold, so I reduce the amount of water that must be adjusted in the packaging pudding powder.
And this time I will combine my pudding recipe with black grass jelly, leftovers from my wife making the drink yesterday, because I really like this grass jelly, it is rich in fiber and very good for digestion, especially with the addition of gelatin powder which we all know. very many benefits for the body.
The recipe for making this pudding is not difficult and the ingredients are also very easy, namely:
1. Grass jelly
Here I need 250 grams of grass jelly because I want the grass jelly in my pudding to be much more pronounced
2. Palm sugar
Because my wife and I don't really like dishes that are too sweet, I only used 100 grams of palm sugar.
3. Chocolate gelatin powder
4. 4 glasses of water
The 4 glasses of water that I use are equivalent to 800 ML of water, in the gelatin powder packaging there is a measurement that says the water used is 900 ML, but here I only use 800 ML of water so that my pudding is not too soft and can be removed from the mold.
5. Coconut milk
I use packaged coconut milk weighing 85 ML
6. Cornstarch
Cornstarch functions so that the resulting pudding is not too soft and binds the pudding so that when the pudding is removed from the mold the results are not broken and runny.
How to make :
1. Wash the grass jelly and cut it into cubes then put it into the pudding mold you are going to make
2. Slice the palm sugar then add it to the milk pan
3. Then mix 1 packet of gelatin powder into it
4. Then add coconut milk
5. And finally, put 4 glasses of water into it
6. And don't forget to also add ½ tablespoon of cornstarch, then stir everything until evenly mixed
7. And cook over medium heat until it boils. During the cooking process, the pudding must be continuously stirred so that the mixture under the pan doesn't burn.
8. After boiling, let the mixture rest for about 2-3 minutes.
9. Then put it into the mold where the grass jelly was previously placed.
10. Then let it rest for 2-3 hours before it hardens and is ready to be removed from the mold.
11. Once the pudding has hardened, you can store it in the refrigerator or consume it straight away. Everything is free to suit your taste.
